Dr. Burritt is Board Certified in both General Psychiatry and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and has experience working with all ages from young children to older adults from various backgrounds. His training enabled him to see a wide range of patient situations at hospitals including Einstein, Jefferson, and Nemours DuPont. He enjoys working with individuals as well as couples and families. In addition to treating specific symptoms such as depression or anxiety, patients and he have worked together to address other challenges such as improving relationships or identifying what is blocking them from getting more out of life.

I treat patients with a wide variety of problems. My treatment is tailored to the individual needs of my patients and includes psychotherapy and the prescription of medication. Treatment is in a private and confidential setting. The first appointment is a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation, lasting about 75 minutes. At the end of the evaluation, recommendations for treatment will be discussed. If there are medical issues, I will collaborate with other physicians as needed, and with your consent. Follow-up appointments will be arranged and scheduled as needed. Office hours are Monday through Friday by appointment, with some evening hours available.

I completed my residency from Tufts University in Boston, Massachusetts and my Fellowship in Addictions from the Robert Johnson Wood Foundation. In 2014, I was featured in SJ Magazine as one of New Jersey’s top psychiatrists. I have experience working with adults as well as adolescents suffering from both psychiatric diagnosis and substance use disorders and have extensive experience working in both out-patient and in-patient settings.

In my private practice, I help people to achieve abstinence and provide tools for them to begin and maintain recovery from their addictions. Treatment includes: relapse prevention, addiction focused psychotherapy, family interventions, medications as needed, referrals for other forms of treatment.

I specialize in treatment resistant depression, mindfulness based treatments for anxiety/PTSD, and addiction. I believe in a holistic approach which utilizes a combination of intensive psychotherapy and focused medication management when appropriate. In treatment-resistant cases, I have experience in using aggressive medication management with TCAs, MAOIs, and S-Ketamine. Therapy is a critical component of my management combining elements of psychoanalysis and CBT techniques.

My training at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, work in area crisis centers and emergency rooms, years of inpatient work at the University of Pennsylvania followed by The Horsham Clinic, and starting ketamine infusion for treatment resistant depression, have all shaped me into the psychiatrist I am today.

Miss Fordjour has over 13 years of extensive expertise in Nursing, spanning from cardiology to psychiatry. In her therapeutic approach Rosemary focuses on leveraging the unique strengths, challenges and needs of each individual by focusing on the positive. Rosemary's care is based on the premise that patients who require mental health care respond best to a combination of therapy and medication. She places special emphasis on the integration of a psychotherapeutic approach with careful and limited use of medication prescribed only when necessary.
