I specialize in ADHD, Anxiety, Bipolar, Chronic Illness, Insomnia/Sleep Issues, Maternal Mental Health/Pre/Postpartum, PTSD/Trauma, Loss/Grief/Bereavement, OCD. I work with an amazing group of colleagues at Lavender, an online psychiatry and therapy office, where we believe psychiatric care shouldn't be expensive nor impossible to access.

In my 25 years of practice I have treated those with diverse backgrounds in various healthcare settings. Margaret Hughes, CPNP, PMHNP is a dual-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner and pediatric nurse practitioner. After completing a Master's in Nursing (pediatrics) from Yale University, she provided medical care to children and adolescents at Mattapan Community Health Center and subsequently to college students at Northeastern University Health Center. Her passion for mental health has led her to obtain an additional degree as a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner.

I am an adult, child and adolescent psychiatrist and Addiction Medicine specialist. I am currently full-time faculty at Boston Children’s Hospital and clinical instructor of psychiatry at Harvard Medical School. I work in the Adolescent Substance Use and Addiction Program in the Division of Addiction Medicine at Boston Children’s Hospital. I also serve on the Massachusetts Medical Society's Committee on Mental Health and Substance Use. In my private practice, I assess and treat patients of all ages. My office is located in Harvard Square, Cambridge, MA. At this time, I am accepting a limited number of clients.
