I am most successful with those dealing with anxiety, depression or mood disorders as well as career, academic or relationship stress. Gérald is a board certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP-BC) driven by his fervidness for patient-centered, evidence-based practice, and concerted approaches to nursing care. With the experience accumulated over 30 years in health care, he aims at helping close the gap in the delivery of services to the mentally ill. Gérald’s primacy is to support the patients and their families in overcoming the stigmas associated with mental health, help patients improve their quality of life and reach their full potential.

I believe deeply that people can change their lives, and I have dedicated my life's work to just that. Patterns of behavior always exist for good reason. They begin as a way of adapting to circumstances, then the situation changes, and years later, what was once a way to cope has now become a liability. There is nothing more gratifying than assisting people in recognizing these lifelong patterns in which they have been entwined, and learning how to slip those bonds. Welcome! I am currently accepting new patients. As a provider, my approach to care is one of unwavering support for you as the patient. I try my best to provide a thoughtful and individualized approach to psychiatric care. As a clinician who practices in a group setting, I have the opportunity to be part of a practice that consists of multiple psychiatric prescribers and therapists who have extensive training in psychotherapy. Although I am primarily a medication prescriber; and yes, medications can be very helpful, I also believe and insist on providing more than medication. As such, your care will be integrated and unfragmented.

Heather, a highly qualified professional with a Master of Science degree in Physician Assistant studies from Springfield College, has dedicated the majority of her career to the psychiatric field. Having graduated in 2010, she brings a wealth of experience to her new role at Boston Neurobehavioral Associates (BNBA). Excited to be part of such a well-respected company, Heather's primary objective is to deliver outstanding care to all patients while fostering a culture of respect for individuals with psychiatric illnesses at BNBA.

I recognize how difficult it is to find someone both knowledgeable about medications used to treat mental health concerns and who is a down to earth, real person at the same time. My clients have told me that I am easy to talk to and provide good clinical insight. I provide medication management services for women 18 and over for a variety of mental health concerns including adjustment disorders, depression, anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorder, ADHD/ADD, insomnia, OCD, PTSD, PMDD, perinatal mood disorders, mood disorders in menopause, compulsive over-eating, and binge eating disorder.

She received her bachelor's degree in art history from the University of Alabama, and her first nursing degree from Missouri Western State University. She received her master's degree in nursing from the University of South Alabama.

Nicholas Sousa is a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with many years of experience. Nicholas specializes in Anxiety, Depression, ADHD, PTSD, Adjustment disorders and bi-polar spectrum disorders, he also has experience working with schizophrenia, substance use disorders and major mental illness. He is committed to providing high quality care for individuals suffering from mental illness.

Dr. Nicholas Barnes is a Harvard-trained, board-certified psychiatrist in the Boston area (Belmont, MA). He provides treatment for depression, anxiety, PTSD, OCD, addiction and chronic pain. As a psychiatrist, psychotherapist and additionally a board-certified pain medicine physician, he is uniquely qualified to bridge the gap between medical and psychological treatments. Dr. Barnes draws on traditional talk therapy, mindfulness and philosophical perspectives, and modern neuroscience to help people develop insight, emotional freedom, self-acceptance, and behavioral change.

MSN, APRN,FNP-BC, graduated from Regis college in Western MA in 2011, with honors. I have been a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner for the last 10 years. I've been a Nurse for 27 years. I graduated from Borough of Manhattan College, City University of New York with honors in 1994 with an ASN. Also graduated from Medgar Evers College with honors with a BSN. I am a hospitalist with experience all across the medical, and psychiatry platform. I also have experience in internal medicine and Primary Care. I am also BCLS, ACLS, certified and have professional affiliation, with AANP, and MNA.

Hi! I am dual certified Family and Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. I have been a Family Nurse Practitioner since 2011, and truly enjoy providing whole-person care for my patients. I have always felt passionate about mental health and emotional wellness, so I decided to go back to school to get my Psychiatry board certification in 2022 in order to provide the best care possible for my patients. I was born and raised in Athens, Georgia, and love the South, but I also have a love for Massachusetts and the Boston area.
