ACCEPTING NEW PATIENTS - We help patients establish a professional relationship with a dedicated physician who knows their medical history and medication regimen. This provides the patient with continuity of care and on-demand access to a doctor through telemedicine or in-person appointments. We manage a wide spectrum of illnesses, including anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder, OCD, ADHD and insomnia. Patients with these conditions have the best chance of improvement when they have regular appointments with the same physician who works with the patient in a professional setting.

Hi! I am Shea, a Board Certified Nurse Practitioner. I am a Christian as well. I have years of experience working with people that desire to improve their wellness. I prescribe medication to help as well as necessary referrals and health education. I am able to formally diagnosis and treat all psychiatric conditions. I also work with patients that desire to be free from medications, or that want a second opinion. I use a holistic approach whenever possible and help guide you to find the most appropriate treatment plan you are comfortable with.

I have been blessed to practice psychiatry for the past 11 years. It is an honor to walk the journey of life with my patients, helping them work towards their goals free of burden. I have developed a pharmacologically conservative practice that is founded on listening and developing patient relationships, in the convenience of an accessible West Houston location. With a diverse practice background and the knowledge from being triple boarded in Adult Psychiatry, Child Psychiatry, and Addiction Medicine; I am able to offer experience in treating a wide array of mental illness.

My approach to clinical practice is based on a collaborative model and as such works well with patients who take an active interest in their treatment and are genuinely curious.

Do you seek deep healing without pressing pause on your life? InnerSpace is an intensive outpatient program designed in an 8-week cycle. Our treatment methods help you find wellness while keeping you out of the hospital. With an interdisciplinary approach, InnerSpace combines therapeutic and psychiatric modalities. We specialize in treating mood and anxiety disorders, ADHD and learning disorders, and various forms of addiction. Group sessions occur on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 4 pm to 7 pm. The program also includes individual therapy, individual psychiatry sessions, family sessions, treatment planning, and a feedback session upon completion of the program.

Dr Garb was born and educated in Johannesburg, South Africa. He received his medical and psychiatric training in South Africa and the U.K. He is board.certified in 3 countries, including by the American Board of Psychiatry in 1990. His career has included academic honors and professorial experience, as well as clinical leadership across a broad spectrum of psychiatric services in Johannesburg and Tel Aviv, before being recruited to Houston in 1991. Throughout, Dr Garb has also maintained a well recognized and highly respected private practice wherever he has gone, including his current outpatient practice in Houston.

As a board certified psychiatrist, I also have expertise in psychopharmacology. Additionally, I recognize that each patient's situation may be complicated by various factors; to optimize well-being and quality of life, I will collaborate with you on a treatment plan that addresses all aspects of concern.
