As a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner, I support people whose quality of life is being negatively impacted by depression, anxiety, and other conditions. In a safe and non-judgemental environment, I work alongside each person to create a treatment plan that is both effective and doable. While medications have their place in many circumstances, I also incorporate non-pharmaceutical approaches, such as therapy and lifestyle changes, so that the need for medication can be lessened when possible.

I attended The University of Colorado College of Nursing & Health Sciences, where I received a Master of Science in Nursing, specializing as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP).

I am currently accepting new patients! Although I am not currently offering controlled substances, I assist individuals in dealing with anxiety and depression by addressing specific mental health needs through coaching, counseling, psychoeducation, medication management, and other psychotherapeutic interventions. Maintaining a person-centered focus and approach to help others reach their mental health goals allows me to provide treatment in a safe, effective manner using evidence-based practice tools.

My approach to helping you re- access the "best you" is an integrative approach that fits you personally. Initially, determining what may be blocking you. It could be diet, a deficiency, a loss,a trauma or what may feel most confusing is, that you don't know why you feel this way.

Fees are negotiable! As a psychiatrist I have a unique practice where I offer combined talk work (psychotherapy) along with conservative use of medication, where helpful. I work with individuals, couples, and families from a family systems perspective, having trained extensively in Bowen Family Systems Theory. A Colorado native, I live in Des Moines, Iowa and provide televideo psychiatry throughout both Iowa and Colorado. I negotiate fees with my patients.
