I am a psychiatrist, analytically trained, who has been practicing in the Los Angeles area for thirty-five years. I am broadly in general psychiatry, psychoanalysis, psychodynamic and humanistic psychology as well as psychopharmacology and geriatric psychiatry. My approach utilizes humanistic, relational, cognitive and psychodynamic techniques that are interactive and unique to each person I treat. My special skills are in treating individuals with relationship and or career conflicts and life transitions.

I'm board certified in both general psychiatry and child and adolescent psychiatry focusing on the complex issues of adolescents and young adults ages 13-29. These years of development can be complicated and confusing, and the time for the emergence of many psychiatric disorders. My areas of interests include anxiety, depression, and the transitioning to college. I also help college students return back to school when they have had to take a break due to stress leading to poor grades, family issues, relationship conflicts, or other emotional hardships..
