I am a Board Certified Child, Adolescent and Adult Psychiatrist with expertise around working with young children, teen and their families towards understanding psychiatric diagnoses and promoting wellness with reliable modalities of therapy and medications. My ideal patient is someone who is willing to collaborate with me to create the best treatment plan possible for their unique needs. I am a fully licensed psychiatrist (MD) specializing in psychotherapy. I treat adults with psychotherapy and additional medication management services if needed. (I am not accepting any medication-only patients.) I provide short and long-term psychotherapy, the frequency and length of which will depend on your needs. I treat depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, PTSD, relationship issues, career issues, family issues, grief and life transitions, and low self-esteem.

I offer Telehealth appointments to all my clients in the comfort of their homes. I am a Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) with a doctorate degree in Nursing, who is experienced in practicing Psychiatric services in outpatient, inpatient, and tele-psychiatry. I offer weekday appointments from 9am-9pm as well as Saturdays from 9am-2pm.

I take a collaborative approach with my patients. I like to know what my patients’ goals are so I can tailor the treatment to help them achieve their goals as much as possible. Knowing what’s important to my patients helps me know what treatments to recommend or when to suggest a change to the treatment. I find that patients experience the most success if they are open to talking about their treatment options.

Accepting New Patients. Dr. Marok is Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist that treats individuals throughout the lifespan, from early childhood into adulthood. He specializes in treating Anxiety and Mood disorders, ADHD, Autism and Sleep disorders. He utilizes both pharmacologic treatment and psychotherapy techniques. In addition, he works with patients on interpersonal growth and professional developmental.

As most patients come for their initial visit in some distress, the first two goals are building a mutual understanding of the the distress and focus on symptom relief. I practice as a psychotherapist and I prescribe medication. Some people come for medication and therapy wanting to gain insight into their feelings, change patterns in relationships, confront addiction. Often people come to me for evalution or to continue medications they were previously stable on. Whatever the reason you are visiting Psychology Today, my advice is to focus on building a trusting relationship with whomever you work with.

I am accepting new clients on a case-by-case basis for medication management. I provide holistic, integrative psychiatric care to children, adolescents and adults with ADHD, mood, and trauma disorders, partnering with clients and their families to help them to achieve their health goals. Services I provide include comprehensive psychiatric assessments, medication management, and brief psychotherapy. While I prescribe medications when needed, I address other factors that may be impacting your mental health such as exercise, sleep, nutrition, lifestyle, relationships and coping skills.

I believe that individuals are the best experts on themselves and their health. I assist each patient in setting their own goals and charting their own best direction. After a thorough diagnostic evaluation, I work with patients to develop a care plan which may include some combination of nutritional adjustment, exercise, counseling and medications when appropriate. My therapeutic approach builds on my earliest nursing training and is eclectic. I draw from many modalities and have extensive experience in inpatient crisis intervention as well as outpatient care with patients with multiple mental health and medical co-morbidities.
