I am double board-certified in Psychiatry and Addiction Medicine. I believe in using both medication when indicated as well as therapy. I was trained in CBT and was given the Excellence in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy during my residency program. I use supportive therapy with each client I see. During my residency I served as Chief Resident and was awarded the Overall Excellence in Psychiatry Award as well as the Clinical Excellence Award.

Michelle is passionate about delivering care to individuals suffering from anxiety, substance use, and depression. Client motivation and dedication are key to utilizing the tools provided during our sessions including medication management, implementing lifestyle interventions, and therapy to help develop and implement a successful treatment plan. Relief of the client's suffering in dealing with their mental health issues and striving for an improvement in their quality of life is key to treatment.

It’s hard to decide to seek help; now finding that help brings more stress. I hope I can help you get your life back on track. Most issues respond best to a combination of therapy and medications, so I provide both. My approach is strategy-focused; I offer suggestions, & you choose which to try. Medications must be an open & honest collaboration between us. I provide information about the options, and respect your informed decision. NOTE: I do not accept any insurance at this time (self-pay only). Many clients find it helpful to be able to start treatment with me while they are searching or on a waitlist - that’s fine.

She obtained both degrees from Regis College. She has over 18 years diverse clinical experience in healthcare within the general population in specialty fields such as palliative care, clinical instruction, and transitional care management. Lisa's didactic history includes but is not limited to outpatient counseling centers, crisis centers, and partial hospitalization programs.

My ideal client would understand that the journey to wellness and recovery requires time, effort, and patience. They would be receptive to treatment suggestions which may include psychotherapy, behavioral interventions, and medication options. My patients would take an active role in their care, and engage in open and honest communication with their provider.

Currently accepting new patients at New England Counseling Center, Lisa is a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner with 30 years of experience in mental health. She started her training at Laboure College and continued her education at UMass Dartmouth and Regis College. Lisa believes in working together with patients to provide the safest and best outcomes through medication management in combination with psychotherapy.

Hali Massri is a licensed Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner with 4 years experience specializing in the child and adolescent population. Hali has had experience in treating numerous psychiatric diagnoses from ADHD, depression, anxiety, to mood and thought disorders both in acute and outpatient settings. Hali enjoys spending time with her husband, dog, and nieces and nephews, but also newly a vegetable gardener. Hali received her first Bachelor of Science in exercise health sciences at UMass Boston, however returned to school for a second Bachelors of Science in Nursing completing the accelerated BSN program at Northeastern University.

An ideal client would be someone who is open, honest, and willing to ask for help. This person wants to get better and is open to suggestions and treatment options. They are willing to put in the effort to help themselves and work as a team with their provider in order to move toward mental wellness.

Josephine Thuo, CNP, PMHNP is a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner with extensive experience working with patients from all backgrounds. She treats all age groups. Josephine has a master's degree in nursing. Her clinical practice includes a thorough psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, and interventions catered to you.

I am a psychiatric and adult nurse practitioner who is focused on helping patients feel and do their best. I have extensive experience working with complex patients in an inpatient as well as outpatient setting. I use medications and supportive counseling as methods to help patients achieve relief from symptoms such as anxiety, depression, mood swings, anger outbursts, insomnia and alcohol dependence. I believe my team approach is effective and will help decrease the symptoms that cause pain and interfere with daily living.
