At Grounded Interventions Psychiatric Services we offer treatment grounded in empirically supported strategies to address a dynamic set of behavioral health needs. Our approach is compassionate, individually tailored and aimed at reducing distressing symptoms while improving overall quality of life.​

I offer psychiatric services to adults and adolescents ages 17 and up. I treat a broad range of conditions including mood disorders, psychotic disorders, anxiety disorders, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Autism Spectrum Disorder and others.

In past decade, I observed the mental health crisis culminating while access to help stagnate, or worse - decline. Most people are getting their psychiatric prescription from their general practitioner. This may be enough for some, but not all people affected by mental illness. In most cases, careful and stepwise stabilization is needed, sometimes with two of more medications. In addition, people suffering form several side effects may benefit from genetic testing.

Currently we have availability on a weekly basis. Dr. Jacine Vilches is a psychiatric nurse practitioner with dual certification in family practice and psychiatry (double-boarded). After working at a level I trauma center and receiving her doctoral degree from Florida State University she practiced psychiatry in Boston with the severely mentally ill population treating disorders ranging from schizophrenia to generalized anxiety disorder and personality disorders. Recently she moved back to Florida to open her private telepsychiatry practice that focuses on the holistic treatment of mental health disorders.

Dr. Kumar is a highly skilled Adult Psychiatrist with extensive training and experience in the field of mental health. Having completed his Psychiatry Residency at the prestigious Cleveland Clinic in Ohio, Dr. Kumar is well-versed in providing comprehensive psychiatric care to adults.

Dr. Toppelberg is an experienced, Harvard-trained child, adolescent and adult psychiatrist, usually working with ages 3-30. He evaluates and treats emotional/ behavioral difficulties including ADHD, depression, trauma, stress, anxiety, and selective mutism, and those preventing weight loss. He has focused on issues of performance at work, study and competitive sports. He regularly works with tour-level tennis players and other professional and student athletes. He is an expert in neurodevelopmental disabilities, as well as learning and language disabilities. He runs psychiatric services at an excellent school for children/adolescents with autism and other neurodevelopmental disabilities, the prestigious New England Center for Children.
