With more than 25 years of experience in the Mental Health field, I began to practice as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner after graduating from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in 2013. Dr. Rachael Brothers, DO earned her Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience at the University of Miami prior to completion of medical school in New York City at Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine where she graduated in the top five percent of her class. She completed her psychiatric residency training at Bergen New Bridge Medical Center in Paramus, NJ, one of the country’s largest psychiatric hospitals. Dr. Brothers is passionate about a holistic approach to wellbeing while treating a spectrum of diagnoses.

Zhanna Berman is a Board-Certified Nurse Practitioner in both Psychiatric Mental Health (PMHNP-BC) and Advance Family Health ( FNP-BC). She has extensive experience in multiple inpatient and outpatient facilities, and with many varieties of mental health issues affecting children, adolescents and adults. These issues include mood disorders, anxiety, post-traumatic stress, depression, ADHD, OCD and bipolar disorders, as well as postpartum, perimenopausal and menopausal issues in various manifestations.

Most psychiatrists do not practice psychotherapy, but this impairs a more holistic and complex appreciation for their clients, which can create a disjointed experience for many people that leads them to disengage from treatment. I am an integrative practitioner licensed in NJ & MA who can assess biochemistry to identify important deficiencies/abnormalities that may be related to mental health symptoms. I can provide genetic testing for med management. Patients often seek integrative/"functional" psychiatry after they have trialed multiple medications, experienced unpleasant/unremitting side effects, and have not been able to obtain symptom alleviation with traditional psychiatry.
