I am a Board Certified Psychiatrist with over a decade of clinical experience. I hold advanced degrees from Wellesley College, YaIe University, and Stony Brook School of Medicine. Zhanna Berman is a Board-Certified Nurse Practitioner in both Psychiatric Mental Health (PMHNP-BC) and Advance Family Health ( FNP-BC). She has extensive experience in multiple inpatient and outpatient facilities, and with many varieties of mental health issues affecting children, adolescents and adults. These issues include mood disorders, anxiety, post-traumatic stress, depression, ADHD, OCD and bipolar disorders, as well as postpartum, perimenopausal and menopausal issues in various manifestations.

Most psychiatrists do not practice psychotherapy, but this impairs a more holistic and complex appreciation for their clients, which can create a disjointed experience for many people that leads them to disengage from treatment. My approach to treatment is non-judgmental, collaborative, holistic, direct, and uses the latest evidence-based interventions.
