In addition to providing psychotherapy, I can help you navigate the various resources available to support your child.

I am an integrative practitioner licensed in NJ & MA who can assess biochemistry to identify important deficiencies/abnormalities that may be related to mental health symptoms. I can provide genetic testing for med management. Patients often seek integrative/"functional" psychiatry after they have trialed multiple medications, experienced unpleasant/unremitting side effects, and have not been able to obtain symptom alleviation with traditional psychiatry. I believe strongly in psychotherapy to help the patient work towards healing. I work collaboratively with other treatment providers and am a strong advocate for my patients needs.

I am able to take self-pay clients. I draw on expertise as a Harvard Medical Professor and Researcher to recommend personalized evidence based care for mood, anxiety, attention and organizational challenges. I am an expert on ADHD, which I research at Massachusetts General Hospital. I draw on training in neuropsychiatry, cognitive behavioral therapy, dynamic psychotherapy, nutraceutical research, and, (more importantly) lessons taught by working with a few thousand clients. Dr. Toppelberg is an experienced, Harvard-trained child, adolescent and adult psychiatrist, usually working with ages 3-30. He evaluates and treats emotional/ behavioral difficulties including ADHD, depression, trauma, stress, anxiety, and selective mutism, and those preventing weight loss. He has focused on issues of performance at work, study and competitive sports. He regularly works with tour-level tennis players and other professional and student athletes. He is an expert in neurodevelopmental disabilities, as well as learning and language disabilities. He runs psychiatric services at an excellent school for children/adolescents with autism and other neurodevelopmental disabilities, the prestigious New England Center for Children.

Gérald is a board certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP-BC) driven by his fervidness for patient-centered, evidence-based practice, and concerted approaches to nursing care. With the experience accumulated over 30 years in health care, he aims at helping close the gap in the delivery of services to the mentally ill. Gérald’s primacy is to support the patients and their families in overcoming the stigmas associated with mental health, help patients improve their quality of life and reach their full potential.

Brian is a proud veteran of the United States Air Force where he served for nearly a decade, and translates the same commitment to serve into his nursing career. I am double board-certified in Psychiatry and Addiction Medicine. I believe in using both medication when indicated as well as therapy. I was trained in CBT and was given the Excellence in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy during my residency program. I use supportive therapy with each client I see. During my residency I served as Chief Resident and was awarded the Overall Excellence in Psychiatry Award as well as the Clinical Excellence Award.

I have been a pediatric nurse practitioner since 2014 in primary care settings where I supported pediatric patients' physical and mental health. Through this role, I gained ample experience treating ADHD, depression, and anxiety in pediatric and adolescent populations. I completed Duke University's PMHNP program, during which time I worked with adolescent and adult populations in community healthcare clinics, a partial-hospital program and an emergency department. I have training in CBT and have studied DBT. I treat children, adolescents, and adults with a special interest in providing care for youth and families.

MSN, APRN,FNP-BC, graduated from Regis college in Western MA in 2011, with honors. I have been a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner for the last 10 years. I've been a Nurse for 27 years. I graduated from Borough of Manhattan College, City University of New York with honors in 1994 with an ASN. Also graduated from Medgar Evers College with honors with a BSN. I am a hospitalist with experience all across the medical, and psychiatry platform. I also have experience in internal medicine and Primary Care. I am also BCLS, ACLS, certified and have professional affiliation, with AANP, and MNA.

I started my career in nursing in 2016 as an RN at McLean Hospital, working on a substance use disorder unit for adults. In 2017 I completed an NP eating disorder fellowship through Walden Behavioral Care. In 2017 I began working in the MGH Ed performing crisis psychiatric evaluations and follow ups for patients through the lifespan. I continue to work part-time with the Acute psychiatric services team at MGH. 2019-2020 I worked inpatient child psychiatry in Savannah, GA. I am currently working at Boston Children’s Hospital in Waltham on the inpatient and CBAT units.

I am Board Certified in Adult Psychiatry and have been practicing since 2005. I completed my residency from Tufts University in Boston, Massachusetts and my Fellowship in Addictions from the Robert Johnson Wood Foundation. In 2014, I was featured in SJ Magazine as one of New Jersey’s top psychiatrists. I have experience working with adults as well as adolescents suffering from both psychiatric diagnosis and substance use disorders and have extensive experience working in both out-patient and in-patient settings.
