Greetings. My name is Deirdre Raimey. I have been a board certified family nurse practitioner for the past 14 years, and a family systems psychiatric nurse practitioner for the past 8 years. I received all of my nursing education at Case Western Reserve University. For the past 8 years I have provided outpatient behavioral healthcare to adults in the Greater Cleveland area.

Welcome to my page! I am accepting ages 16 and up. My role involves addressing symptoms and challenges that patients face with medication, but also identifying other factors that could contribute to their mental health. This includes medical conditions, lifestyle factors, coping skills, and more. I always encourage my patients to participate in therapy. I offer genetic testing to help narrow down psychotropic medication options and to help patients understand why previous medications may not have worked. I empower my patients to actively participate in making decisions. I feel it is important to be an advocate of your own care.

A Child and Family Psychiatry LLC was established by Dr. Sherk to provide treatments to Columbus and Ohio residents. A Child and Family Psychiatry offers Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) for treatment resistant depression and comorbid conditions including Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Generalized Anxiety, Social anxiety, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity disorder, Autism spectrum. TMS might be an option if you or someone you know was on different medications for depression, anxiety and comorbid conditions without positive result and continues suffering despite treatment.

I am a board-certified psychiatrist with an MD from The Ohio State University and a PhD in cell and developmental biology. I have extensive training in psychotherapy for both adults and children. I have helped many patients achieve lasting, thorough changes toward a happy and fulfilling life. The issues include ADHD, anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, self-harm, paranoia, PTSD, and psychotic disorder. I treat my patients with a combination of psychotherapy and medication. My psychotherapy approaches include psychodynamic and supportive psychotherapy, CBT, and play therapy, whichever proves to be most appropriate and effective.

ACCEPTING NEW PATIENTS--Come see our newly renovated offices conveniently located across from Wright State University. Our therapists are physicians who have graduated medical school and are completing the final years of their psychiatric training. We treat anxiety, depression, PTSD, and relationship problems in children, adolescents, and adults. We are unable to accept referrals or any form of insurance, including Medicare, Medicaid and CareSource. Medication management cannot be the sole reason for a visit. We regret the inconvenience.
