I got my medical training in Argentina, my home country. After graduating in 1995, I moved to the U.S. to complete my Residency at Einstein Medical Center and my Fellowship at Thomas Jefferson Medical College, both in Philadelphia. For the past seven years, I've worked as a full-time attending psychiatrist at the Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry of Mount Sinai Beth Israel, where I also supervised medical students as Assistant Professor. I'm now an analytic candidate at NYU's Postdoctoral Program in Psychotherapy and Psychoanalysis.

I am an adult psychiatrist seeing patients in CA, MA, & NY, trained in neuroscience, psychiatric genetics, and nutritional psychiatry with a vested interest in women’s and perinatal psychiatry. Dr. Lourdes J Chahin is a bilingual (Spanish) Child, Adolescent and Adult psychiatrist. She has practiced in various settings over her career: outpatient private practice, community mental health, Nurse Practitioners and medical student supervision, partial hospitalization and dual diagnosis rehabilitation programs. She is licensed in the states of NY, Fl and GA. She has over 20 years of experience helping children, adolescents and adults who struggle with anxiety, depression, OCD, ADHD, phobias, bipolar mood disorder and many other psychiatric conditions.

My approach is to help people with problems with love and work. There are two kinds of love: (1) human sexuality and (2) love writ large as mutual affection and caring. Work provides a livable income, food and shelter, and a sense of success. It can be unsatisfactory, compounded by clashes between employers or among the workers themselves. When love and work are threatened by loss, the reaction may be one of anxiety, all the way to panic. When love and work get lost, the reaction will be grief or depression, low self-esteem, helplessness and hopelessness, even an urge to die.

Graham Windham Community Mental Health Services offer a variety of evidence-based treatment for children and young adults, 5-25 years of age, based on our comprehensive psychiatric and biopsychosocial evaluations. We offer individual therapy, family therapy, psychopharmacology management, and support services. Each treatment plan will be determined based on the needs of the individual client. Dr. Lorangelly Rivera is board-certified in Adult psychiatry and has been practicing for over 5 years. She focuses on medication management and brief psychotherapy utilizing techniques from cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy and supportive therapy in 30 minute appointments. When appropriate Dr. Rivera may recommend additional psychotherapy with a psychologist as part of the treatment plan. She is fluent in both Spanish and English and is passionate about working with the Latinx population.

Dr. Stefan has vast experience in multiple psychiatric care settings including outpatient care, inpatient care, and assertive community treatment and has served as medical director for large institutions, serving a wide range of complex mental illnesses. Her main focus is patient-centered care, adapting her role to the individual needs of her patients.

Dr. Alicia Garcete is a board-certified child, adolescent, and adult psychiatrist in practice for over 12 years. Her practice focuses on medication management, recognizing family involvement is extremely important and is an integral part of treatment. Dr. Garcete has treated a wide variety of patients. Her primary focus is treating depression, anxiety disorders, ADHD, PTSD and OCD. Additionally, she can provide supportive therapy and elements of cognitive-behavioral therapy but on occasions more therapy support may be needed, and the recommendation to bring a psychotherapist on the care team may occur to provide an optimal outcome.

Dr. Balta is board-certified in psychiatry and addiction medicine. He is also psychoanalyst certified by the Manhattan's William Alanson White Institute. Throughout the years he has worked in different settings including inpatient psychiatry, addiction rehabilitation, administration and grants development. He believes that there must be an initial phase of proactive psycho-pharmaco-therapy trials to find the best individualized medications. There are always psychological roots to a person's sufferings-symptoms and the goal is to learn the connection of the past to present symptoms, and work to have a balanced functional life.

Dr. Santos is a highly experienced, Board-Certified Adult Psychiatrist with over 10 years of clinical experience in English and Spanish. His practice focuses on medication management in conjunction with supportive therapy, and he conducts follow-up visits in 30-minute increments. He believes that the most successful treatments integrate physical health, therapy, mindfulness, and medication, when necessary, to provide the most effective solutions for his patients. He graduated from the Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara School of Medicine and completed his residency training in NYC at Lincoln Medical and Mental Health Center.

Dr. Gloria J. Rodriguez is an Adult Psychiatrist based in New York. She has over 18 years of experience. Her focus is the treatment of Depression and Anxiety disorders using a combination of medication management and psychotherapy. Before joining Talkiatry Dr. Rodriguez served as the Vice Chair for the Department of Psychiatry at Mount Sinai Morningside and West Hospitals.

Dr. Osman Athar is board certified in General Psychiatry and board eligible in Consult-Liaison Psychiatry. He graduated with a Bachelors of Arts in English from Rice University, from McGovern Medical School for his medical doctorate and went on to complete Psychiatry residency at the University of Texas-Houston where he served as a chief resident. Afterwards, he completed fellowship in Consult-Liaison Psychiatry at Louisiana State University - Ochsner Medical Center in New Orleans.
