I treat patients between the age of 19 - 60 who may be struggling with a variety of mental health problems ranging from depression, bipolar disorder, schizoaffective disorder, anxiety disorders, PTSD, ADHD, insomnia, substance use and much more. I enjoy helping people...period. I am credentialed for all ages from very young to the elderly and have worked with all ages. For patients that do need medication; I use a conservative approach and monitor closely until they are stable. My medication management patients do get some therapy in their follow up sessions, because this assists me in evaluating the effectiveness of the medication. If I am not able to help a patient, I will try to find someone else who is a better fit for them. I believe in a community approach for patients, it does take us all working together!

Psychiatric medications are implemented to decrease the severity and intensity of symptoms. Amber Grob has a conservative approach to medications. Specifically, diagnoses can be managed with limited medications on a consistent basis, as well as as needed medications. In some situations, there are compounding health or medical issues that can make this difficult. Medical, physical, hormonal and physiological components can be factors contributing to the presentation of psychiatric symptoms. All of this is assessed at your first appointment, as well as ongoing. Amber Grob also provides Genetic Testing for medication metabolism.

Heather M. Wilhelm, MSN, PMHNP-BC is a board certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner. She received her Master’s of Science in Nursing from the University of Nebraska Medical Center. She has 20 years of experience as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner and has experience working in inpatient units and in outpatient clinics. She is certified to treat child/adolescent, adult, and geriatric individuals.
