Dr. Tara Thompson, DNP, PMHNP-BC is a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner providing care to patients in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and New York. Dr. Tara started her career as a therapist after earning a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology degree from Eastern University where she was trained in cognitive-behavioral therapy and systemic therapy. She later decided to change direction and pursue an education and career in nursing where she worked in cardiology and neurology.

She is dual certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner and a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. This allows her to treat each patient with a holistic approach.
