I am a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner from the American Nurses Credentialing Center, and I completed my graduate program at Walden University. The services I provide include psychiatric diagnostic evaluations, psychoeducation, as well as an evidence-based practice of medication prescribing and management. I’m not sure I have an “ideal” patient. Most of my career has been spent treating anyone who came to the hospital or was assigned to my care. If I reflect on some patient success stories, each case was collaborative, utilizing evidence-based medicine with patients that had a high degree of motivation to get better, either utilizing medication or therapy and to maintain their recovery through self-care.

It takes a lot of trust to disclose that which affects us most intimately. While we have made strides over the years in mental health, stigma continues to have a stronghold in today's society, and it can be difficult to take that first step. She has over a decade of experience and specializes in ADHD, depression, anxiety, PTSD and mood disorders.
