I am a board-certified adult psychiatrist with over ten years of experience treating various psychiatric conditions including depression, bipolar disorder, adjustment disorder, anxiety disorder, co-morbid substance use disorder, and psychotic disorder. My goal is to ensure that patients have a positive experience while seeking psychiatric treatment by establishing a patient-centered environment that promotes privacy and patient comfort.

As a psychiatrist and psychotherapist, my goal is to create a safe, warm and compassionate space for healing and personal growth. In my work, I aim to delve beyond diagnostic labels to uncover the core issues underlying clinical symptoms. This process acknowledges each individual’s unique experience and helps minimize reliance on medications. Together, I work with my clients to help them understand the unconscious impact of early childhood experiences on their current ability to love, work and play, and help them gain inner freedom to live fuller, more wholesome lives.

I am dedicated in helping clients with their mental health and overall wellbeing. Dr. Cynthia Akpaka graduated from Medical University of South Carolina with Doctor of Nursing Practice and Family Nurse Practitioner. She worked in a community health center for over 8 years treating all ages and backgrounds. She went back to Liberty University for Post-Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Postmaster’s knowing that mental health was her passion.

The brain is an organ where specialized treatment and medications may be needed to help restore physiological balance and correct functioning. Keeping all aspects of each individual in mind, I prescribe medications when needed and work with the team of therapists at LifeCare so together, we can address the whole person. Therapy can be an effective tool in restoring the soul, which has a direct impact on the well-being of our mind, will, and emotional state. Therapy can also allow us to clearly map out a spiritual path and help us maintain an active relationship with God.

Alina Lis is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with over five years of experience working as a nurse, with the majority of that time spent in inpatient medical oncology/hospice and substance abuse treatment. Alina earned her Master of Science degree from Walden University after receiving an undergraduate nursing degree from Rasmussen College.

I am a board certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner with full prescriptive authority and treat most psychiatric conditions. Does your child have BIG feelings? Tamiqua is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) and a certified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C) who diagnoses, treats, and manages various mental health conditions including depression, anxiety, ADHD, bipolar, trauma/PTSD, and many others. Her practice foundation is built upon compassion and empathy, focusing on the care of young and older adults.

Accepting New Patients. Tenishia is a Board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner who provides medication management with psychotherapy to ages six and older. She offers in person in Raleigh, NC, and telehealth services across the state of North Carolina, ensuring convenient access to quality mental health care. We offer in person services out of our Raleigh, NC office at this time. Other locations to be added soon. We also see BCBS of Massachusetts and Horizon New Jersey BCBS as well.

Dr. Lucy Magda ("Dr. Lucy") is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, born and raised on the eastern shore of Maryland. She began her registered nursing career in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), where she worked to stabilize the most critically ill patients. It is there that her interest in mental health flourished as she witnessed first-hand how essential mental health is for the overall wellbeing of her patients. She realized that there is no health without mental health.

Elizabeth Morgan (Kaczor) PA-C, is a dedicated healthcare professional with a passion for integrated medicine and psychiatry. Having initially started her career in internal medicine after graduating from Wake Forest University in 2000, Elizabeth discovered her true calling in general psychiatry, where she found a profound connection with her patients. Her empathetic and collaborative approach to patient care sets her apart, as she believes in tailoring treatments to suit the unique needs of each individual.

Andrea G. Boyer, M.D. is a board-certified Adult Psychiatrist and Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist, who has a passion for providing the best outpatient care. Her clinical areas of interest include anxiety disorders (including OCD), mood disorders, ADHD, autism spectrum disorders and other developmental disorders, and eating disorders, among others.

My name is Caedora Benton and I am a mental health nurse practitioner. I knew that I wanted to work in the healthcare field since high school, so I decided to pursue my dream. After graduating nursing school, I worked in the hospital for a total of 8 years before making the decision to advance my education to become a nurse practitioner. I wanted to ensure that I spent time educating and promoting exceptional care so that I could end the loop of continuous hospitalizations.
