I received my Doctor of Nursing practice along with my Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner degree from Texas Christian University in 2023. With a background in nursing and specialized training in psychiatric and mental health care, I bring over 11 years of experience to my practice. Dr. Nicole Nguyen is a board-certified adult psychiatrist. She attained her Bachelor of Arts in Biology with a minor in Cultural Anthropology at the University of Southern California prior to returning to her home state of Texas to complete both her medical school and residency training at UT Health San Antonio.

Then, she obtained her Family Nurse practitioner’s degree at Chamberlain University, Post-Master’s Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner degree at Maryville University, and her doctorate degree at Chamberlain University. I am a Physician Assistant with Specialization in Psychiatry. My interest in Psychiatry was triggered due to my observation that mental health issues underlie a lot of the other medical issues that people deal with. I also observed that people around me did not seem to be getting compassionate care from their providers. I felt like patients are not being heard so I wanted to make a difference.
