My ideal patient is a person that is willing to work together to tackle their mental health issues. My ideal patient is honest and forthcoming with what they think is working or not working with their treatment plan. I enjoy working with patients who are looking to incorporate medication treatment with other therapeutic options such as psychotherapy, lifestyle change, exercise, and mindfulness-based approaches. I joined Mindful Health Solutions due to the “patient-first” company mentality.

I know your time is valuable. Initial consultative evaluation appointments are available for scheduling WITHIN 1-2 WEEKS, unless I am not accepting new patients at that time. I am a Board Certified Psychiatrist with Fellowships in Psychoanalysis and Mindfulness based treatments. I provide individualized treatment for those dealing with concerns about mood, anxiety, or struggles in one or more areas of life. While I offer short sessions of psychiatric care, my area of expertise is long sessions integrating treatments such as psychoanalysis talk therapy, exercise, mindfulness, and medications when indicated.

Nurocoach is a telehealth integrated psychiatry and talk therapy practice. We offer care coordination and alternative therapies - all in one stop. Our team provides expert diagnosis and holistic care for patients with psychiatric needs, recognizing that pharmaceutical solutions may not be the best fit for everyone. We are dedicated to access to care with many insurances pre-credentialed prior to the appointment.

I treat a variety of patients that include ages 5 and up and all socioeconomic ranges. I aim to provide my patients with whatever they may need through my outpatient programs.

ACCEPTING NEW PATIENTS. Dr. Emily Wu is a Harvard-trained M.D. Psychiatrist. She is Double Board-certified in Adult Psychiatry and Child/Adolescent Psychiatry. She is licensed to practice in Texas. She completed a two-year advanced fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at Massachusetts General Hospital/McLean Hospital through Harvard Medical School. She did her residency in Adult Psychiatry at Harvard Longwood Psychiatry Residency Training Program. She obtained her medical degree at Baylor College of Medicine. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Biology from Texas A&M University, graduating summa cum laude.

I meet my patients and families where they are, understand their concerns and collaborate with them to create a plan that we all can buy into. To create the best patient experience, I provide longer appointment times as well as my patients and families have my direct contact number so that we stay connected in between visits. I believe that quality time and collaborating with my patients and families leads to the best mental health care.

As a psychiatrist, I use both medications and/or therapy to provide compassionate and personalized care to help individuals in personal growth and to live more satisfying lives. In working with individuals, I strive for recovery of illness, and not just improvement in symptoms.

I am a dual boarded physician in psychiatry and internal medicine. I have broad experience both in internal medicine and psychiatry. I do inpatient and office-based psychiatry. My expertise are Addiction Medicine, Attention Deficit disorder, geriatric psychiatry, depression, anxiety disorders and bipolar disorder. I have Hospital privileges in majority of Houston and Ford Bend County hospitals, where I perform consultation liaison psychiatry.

Dr. Vita Chung is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) with over ten years (as of 2021) of nursing experience in Psychiatric Mental Health. She received her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP), Master of Science in Nursing (MSN), and Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degrees from the UT Health San Antonio, formerly named the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. Dr. Chung completed her clinical training in a wide range of psychiatric mental health conditions across the lifespan and strives to provide up-to-date evidence-based treatment options.
