Dr. Allison Jackson is a Harvard-trained board-certified psychiatrist who opened MindfulMD as a way to provide individually tailored, compassionate psychiatric care for her patients. She provides medication management and supportive therapy to help patients navigate difficult life transitions. By helping patients identify the symptoms causing the most negative impact on their lives, her treatment plans are directed toward fixing symptoms.

Alicia Allen is a board-certified mental health nurse practitioner. Alicia starts by asking patients about their treatment goals and expectations. This creates an open dialogue that improves treatment outcomes. She supports each patient’s mental and physical health by integrating evidence-based, patient-centered techniques. Alicia considers it her mission to show empathy, active listening, and flexibility. Her ultimate goal is to fight the stigma surrounding mental health so more people can speak openly about their needs and experiences. Alicia has been treating patients since 2010 and works with patients ages 18-65.

Jerika Perry is a psychiatric nurse practitioner with more than seven (7) years of medical expertise. She provides mental health services through initial psychiatric evaluation, follow-up appointments, individual therapy, in-person or virtual group therapy, and support groups. She specializes in treating depression, anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder, psychotic disorders, eating disorders, and substance abuse treatment.

Dr. Thorkelson is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Psychiatry and Medicine at The University of Pittsburgh. He completed his adult residency training at Temple University and his child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship at The University of Pittsburgh where he continued on in three roles: as Associate Medical Director at the Center for Integrative Medicine, as staff psychiatrist at the John Merck Center for Autism and Developmental Disorders, and through the Visceral Inflammation and Pain (VIP) Center in the Department of Gastroenterology. Dr. Thorkelson specializes in the treatment of anxiety, autism, ADHD, and depression.
