Dr. Allison Jackson is a Harvard-trained board-certified psychiatrist who opened MindfulMD as a way to provide individually tailored, compassionate psychiatric care for her patients. Jerika Perry is a psychiatric nurse practitioner with more than seven (7) years of medical expertise. She provides mental health services through initial psychiatric evaluation, follow-up appointments, individual therapy, in-person or virtual group therapy, and support groups. She specializes in treating depression, anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder, psychotic disorders, eating disorders, and substance abuse treatment.

Hi, am the owner/ head Clinician at Hope Mental Health. When you come see me, you will get 2 providers in your care. Myself and one of my fabulous student/interns. The latter will take your medical/psych history and then I will come on and join to create the treatment plan and prescribe meds when evaluation is complete. On subsequent visits, you will see the student/intern and he/she will bring me on when needed when a change is needed to meds or the treatment plan. Our practice is integrative/functional in nature, meaning that we combine traditional psych meds with supplements, including vitamins to treat the root problem.

I am double board-certified in Psychiatry and Addiction Medicine. I believe in using both medication when indicated as well as therapy. The Neuropsychiatric Institute provides Outpatient Behavioral Health Services for Adults, Families, Children and Adolescents. We believe that as long as you have your problems under control, then you do not need our assistance. However, if the problems have control over you, then you should seek help. Our approach is an eclectic, common sense approach. "Whatever works, works." Although we do utilize medications, our approach is to keep them to a minimum. There is no magic pill to solve problems.

TMS is a good option for patients with depression who have failed to respond adequately to several trials of antidepressants and or who could not tolerate treatment with medications. They must have also tried some therapies such as CBT. These are basically the criteria for insurance coverage with some nuances. At this time it is covered through Cigna, United Health Care, BCBS, Aetna, Tricare, Medicare. We are the only TMS facility to offer treatment to TEENS and CHILDREN OFF LABEL that I am aware of. We are the first Tampa practice to offer a Theta Burst protocol. We have a EEG system on site but it is not covered by insurance.
