I am a Board-Certified in Psychiatry who treats a wide variety of patients including those with depression and adult ADHD. I am very interested in cutting-edge innovations such as esketamine nasal spray, and the rationally-based treatment Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS), to help patients.

I am a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP), trained across the lifespan but specialized with children, adolescents and families. In addition to practicing from a strengths-based perspective, I have taught child/adolescent/family psychotherapy at UCSF, where I am a Professor Emeritus in the PMHNP and DNP programs. Furthermore, I am a Fellow with American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (FAANP).

I am a dedicated board-certified Advanced Practice Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner with the ANCC. I graduated from Maryville University in St. Louis, and bring a wealth of knowledge to into each session. Treating adolescents and adults with psychiatric disorders is my specialty. I have experience providing comprehensive care in both outpatient and inpatient settings.

Summer Thompson, DNP, PMHNP-BC is an ANCC Board-Certified, Family Psychiatric & Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. She has been working in mental health for well over a decade helping members of the general public, veterans and active-duty personnel to achieve their best possible selves. Summer encourages mental health through a holistic model of health care by treating the "whole " person, not simply symptoms and disease. She achieves this in partnership with her clients through shared decision making, medication management, diet, and exercise.

I have been in practice for over 25 years serving patients and communities in different roles. I believe in keeping the patient’s concerns front and center when making treatment plans and it delights me to see them get better. I believe many individuals are capable of brilliant insights that can bring lasting joy and peace in their lives. I believe in the great potential of cognitive behavior therapy and other therapies. Hello, I'm a Board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with over 17 years of nursing experience, primarily in critical care. I earned my Master's Degree from Charles Drew University with a 4.0 GPA. Hailing from Los Angeles with a Caribbean background, my holistic approach to mental health is fueled by a passion for reducing the stigma surrounding mental illness. I specialize in treating patients with anxiety or Major Depressive Disorder (MDD). Although I can prescribe medication as a viable option, I have also been very successful with the holistic approach of listening and educating the patient before resorting to medication, and many times it is a combination of all three.
