Dr. King works with both adults and children. Dr. King is able to connect with clients and help them feel comfortable discussing personal histories and concerns. Dr. King has been working in Pediatrics since 2007 and has worked in the psychiatric field with children and adults since 2012 in a variety of settings including hospitals, medical centers and private practice.

Welcome. Thoughtful Psychiatry is a group of psychiatric providers devoted to providing a "thoughtful" approach to psychiatric care. The practice consists of multiple psychiatric prescribers that have extensive training in psychotherapy. While we believe that medications can be very helpful, we insist on providing more than medication for our patients.

I am a Harvard-trained, Harvard-affiliated, child, adolescent, and adult psychiatrist. I am passionate about working collaboratively with my patients to overcome emotional suffering and meet their goals. I provide weekly therapy to teens, college students, and adults in my telehealth private practice and work with patients to determine if medications can be of help. I do not offer medication management only services (without therapy) in my private practice.

Alaska Treatment Center offers individual and group psychotherapy in addition to medication management. Dr. Ampong is the owner of Alaska Treatment Center. He is a board-certified advanced psychiatric nurse practitioner with a specialty in addiction services. He provides mental health services for individuals with mental illness and those struggling with substance and alcohol abuse. Dr. Ampong focuses on the individual's unique needs through a biopsychosocial evaluation and cutting-edge psychopharmacology and psychotherapy.

I am a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner working in the Andover, MA area. I have been a Nurse Practitioner for 22 years initially starting out with a specialty in primary care pediatrics and then specializing in psychiatry in 2012. My practice is primarily pediatric focused, seeing children from age 7-25. With a background in primary care, I believe in doing a comprehensive medical review while considering the appropriate treatment to meet an individual's psychiatric needs.
