I help those who struggle with anxiety, depression, trauma, substance abuse, or illness that keeps them from fulfilling their full potential. My approach is to optimize wellness by combining integrative and holistic principles with the traditional practice of psychiatry. As an osteopathic physician, my foundation is based on principles of treating the whole person, incorporating mind, body, and spirit; acknowledging that the body is capable of self-regulation and self-healing; and realizing that structure and function are reciprocally related.

I integrate conventional psychiatric treatment options of psychotherapy with research-based complementary modalities including mindfulness, breath-work, yoga, qi qong, biofeedback, imagery, EMDR, nutrition, exercise, ecotherapy, and supplements, along with prescriptions, if and only if, absolutely necessary. Conditions treated include depression, anxiety, climate distress, and, trauma, as well as fatigue, pain, and general health issues that often have a stress induced component. The body, mind, and environment operate as a whole. You can’t treat a symptom without addressing the root cause. Extra time allows me to be thorough, listen to your story without interrupting, and discuss treatment plans in detail. This allows me to provide higher quality care and enables you to feel heard and understood in a way you may never have felt before.

My treatment philosophy starts with the fact that I believe that every human being is unique, and deserves to be happy and to be treated with dignity. I have been working for my entire adult life in the medical field. I worked for many years as a critical care nurse, treating men and women suffering from severe, life-threatning illnesses. As I saw individuals and families struggling with pain and illness, I became gradually more interested in focusing on people's inner, mental well-being. I was fortunate to be able to train as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. I am availabe to treat any patients in the State of Ohio.

Dr. Mahilo is certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. She completed her psychiatry training at Cleveland Clinic Akron General/Summa Health, where she served as a chief resident. She earned her medical degree from Northeast Ohio Medical University and her undergraduate degree from Kent State University. She is a member of the American Medical Association. She has experience working with adults in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Dr. Mahilo's specialty areas of interest include the treatment of anxiety and panic disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), substance use disorders and depression.

I have worked in the behavioral health field for 12-years as a social worker, substance abuse counselor, nurse, and nurse practitioner. I obtained by Bachelors in Psychology from Ohio State University in 2009, obtained by Master's in Social Work from the University of Pittsburgh in 2012, nursing license in 2017 and Master's in Nursing in 2018 with a specialty in Psychiatric Mental Health. I am certified by ANCC. With my diverse background in mental health, I will be able to provide an eclectic treatment plan that is best suited for you. Services will be completed over a secure virtual platform. no in person visits will be needed.

I am board certified in both general psychiatry and child & adolescent psychiatry. As such, I not only see children and adolescents but also young adults. I prefer to work with this age group but I will consider working with middle-aged adults as long as it is a good "fit" for my practice. Also please know that my practice is not in any insurance networks, though we will submit all billing to your insurance so that you can collect any out-of-network benefits. I am comfortable diagnosing and treating ADHD & behavioral disorders, depression & other mood disorders, anxiety disorders, PTSD, and autism spectrum disorder.

Dr. Kim graduated from The Ohio State University with a BS in Psychology. She completed medical school at Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine in Dayton, Ohio. Dr. Kim was chief resident during her adult psychiatry training at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. She continued on at OSUWMC for her fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry in affiliation with Nationwide Children's Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. She was actively involved in the recruitment and education of medical students, residents, and fellows and also served as chief fellow in her final year of training.

David Kwon is a board-certified advanced practice psychiatric nurse practitioner. He master's and doctoral degrees in nursing from Case Western Reserve University. His previous experience includes providing psychiatric services to patients in both community and private practice settings. He currently provides medication management to adult patients ages 18 to 64. His treatment areas of specialty include anxiety disorders, depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

Michele Norman earned her Master's in Nursing and Masters of Science in Nursing degrees from Case Western Reserve University. Upon graduation, she was board certified as a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner. She has been a psychiatric nurse practitioner for 3 years at this point and her clinical practice has been based primarily in outpatient community settings, where she sees patients ranging in age from 6 to 90. Those skills are incorporated in her treatment plans and appointments. Her specializations include PTSD and other trauma related illness, ADHD, depression, anxiety and adjustment/transition issues.

Dr. Monique Howard, DNP, FNP-BC, PMHNP-BC, owner of Peace of Mind Mental Health Practice has over three decades of medical experience. She is dual certified in Family Primary Care and Mental Health. She began her career as a trauma nurse at Huron Hospital in 2001. She honed her skills in high-pressure environments, setting the stage for her distinguished journey. She has a passion for patients who are suicidal and engage in self harm behaviors. All patients deserve the best treatment options available.

Hello, my name is Tameshia, and I am a dual certified nurse practitioner specializing in psychiatry and adult geriatric primary care. I am nationally certified by both the American Nurses Credentialing Center and the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. My focus is on adults throughout their life span, and I provide medication management and therapy. I work with adults aged 18 and up. I am comfortable treating patients who are dealing with symptoms related to depression, anxiety, insomnia, schizophrenia, addiction, weight issues, ADHD, bipolar disorder and more.

Dr. Karuvannur (Dr. K) is a Psychiatrist in Ohio who has been practicing since 2018. He is dual board certified in both child/adolescent and adult psychiatry. He trained in adult psychiatry at Arnot Ogden Medical Center in Elmira, NY where he served as the education committee representative. He completed his child & adolescent psychiatry fellowship at Cleveland Clinic where he served as chief fellow. He is a member of the American Association of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, the American Psychiatric Association, and the Ohio Psychiatric Physician’s Association.

Elizabeth Pfalzgraf earned her bachelor's degree in psychology and both bachelor's and master's degrees in nursing from Kent State University. Certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center, she has experience in outpatient, inpatient, and community mental health care and serves as an educator for undergraduate nursing. She sees ages 6 to 64 and specializes in anxiety disorders, bipolar disorders, depressive disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), autism spectrum disorders (ASD), and schizophrenia.

Steve is Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (CNP) with a focus on providing treatment for a broad-spectrum of mental health disorders. He earned his Master of Science in Nursing Degree from The University of Akron and is a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. He has experience in inpatient, outpatient, as well as community mental health settings as a Nurse Practitioner and over 25 years of experience as a Registered Nurse working in psychiatric / behavioral health hospitals. Steve has also earned his credential for Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM) from The University of Maryland.

Kimberly Cromer is a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner with experience working with Bipolar, Schizophrenia, OCD, MDD, Anxiety, ODD, DMDD, trauma, and addictions. Kimberly has over 17 years of health care experience and has worked in a variety of settings including inpatient, outpatient, and community mental health. Kimberly has also worked with children and families struggling with mental health conditions.
