I embrace an integrated, strength-based approach to promoting wellness. I work with adolescents, young adults, and families affected by a variety of behavioral health symptoms. I have worked extensively with children and adolescents struggling with significant mood and behavioral dysregulation related to Autism Spectrum Disorder, anxiety and ADHD. My experience extends to college age and young adults who struggle with attention, depression, and generalized and social anxiety symptoms. I have a particular practice interest in Autism Spectrum Disorder, especially those referred to as "High Functioning Autism" or "Asperger's."

A vehicle comes out of alignment gradually over time from treading over minor imperfections as do we. One should realize the process for alignment again does not happen overnight nor is it a lifetime guarantee. One may find themselves out of alignment multiple times in their lives due to the wear and tear of life’s imperfections. Alignment is a condition of the present that we hope maintains its position into our future though of the present.

Dr. Peace Peters is a doctoral-trained board-certified family Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse practitioner (PMHNP). Peace Specializes across lifespans, treating all ages from children, adolescents, adults and geriatric mental health and wellness. Dr. Peters serves Maryland and Virginia. She has over 20 years of healthcare experience working in different healthcare settings in inpatient and outpatient in the DMV area. Her experience includes working in; general medicine and surgery, bariatric surgery, telemetry, orthopedics, pediatric medicine, Critical Care Unit and long-term care.

At Oasis, We offer the option of tele-psychiatry evaluations for both your initial consultation and any subsequent follow-up visits. Oasis Mental Health, represented by our team of certified professionals, provides services such as Psychiatric evaluation, Medication Management, talk therapy, Psychotherapy, Psychoeducation, and various behavioral health interventions. The focus of our care predominantly lies in Psychiatric Medication Management and Psychoeducation.
