I am a Cornell and NYU educated board certified psychiatrist with extensive training in both psychotherapy and psychopharmacology. Because of my belief in the connection between mind and body, I trained in both psychiatry and internal medicine. I approach patients from a humanistic and holistic view, with an awareness of the interactions of stress and it's impact on the body. My practice is eclectic and I see patients with a variety of psychiatric disorders or patients who simply want to achieve greater happiness and satisfaction in their lives.

In my practice, I bring a very broad set of experiences from inpatient psychiatry on the vanguard of psychopharmacological medication treatment, psychoanalytic and psychodynamic talk therapy, all in one place offering safe, tele-health as well as in-person consultations and expertly tailored treatment for those suffering from mood, anxiety, or interpersonal difficulties. I am board-certified in both adult and child/adolescent psychiatry, and do my best work with adolescent clients, and their families. I am intensively trained in DBT, and its principles inform my practice, even when the full model is not applied. I am also trained in medical acupuncture, and have practiced martial arts and meditative systems for over two decades. By virtue of this unique training, I am dedicated to an integrative approach which both addresses symptoms and problems, while also seeking to maximize the capacity for attaining and sustaining wellbeing. I am equally fluent in English and Spanish.

I am a board certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, with a certification in perinatal mental health. I can provide psychiatric evaluations, prescribe medications and be a part of your support system. I was trained in New York City, received my Bachelors from NYU and my Masters from Hunter College. My experience has been with very vulnerable populations, those with chronic and persistent mental illness, people experiencing homelessness or substance use disorders, and those who lack access to healthcare.

I have worked in the Mental Health field for over 30 years and have treated adults ranging in age from 18 to 80. I have also done extensive work with couples and families. My clients have had a wide variety of presenting problems from depression, anger management, relationships issues, anxiety, mood disorders, marital problems, phobias and obsessive compulsive behaviors. I see my client as a whole person not as a person with a problem. A person with strengths and weaknesses. Our job together is to find the answers and develop the skills to move forward to an enriching life.

Nanda Muthusawmy, MD, is a Child, Adolescent and Adult Psychiatrist who specializes in the treatment of ADHD, mood regulation disorders, behavior disorders, depression, bipolar disorders, anxiety, OCD, and Tic Disorders.

I believe in personalized, holistic care taking into account not only your symptoms but their impact on your daily life in context of your relationship and career goals. I am double board-certified in Psychiatry and Addiction Medicine. I believe in using both medication when indicated as well as therapy. I was trained in CBT and was given the Excellence in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy during my residency program. I use supportive therapy with each client I see. During my residency I served as Chief Resident and was awarded the Overall Excellence in Psychiatry Award as well as the Clinical Excellence Award.

I am a Board-Certified Psychiatrist. After I completed Medical School at Temple University in PA, I matriculated to a Psychiatry Residency at Harlem Hospital, NY and a Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship in Newark, NJ. I have been seeing both adults, Children and Adolescents providing psychotherapy as well as medication management.

Many of my clients have battled symptoms for years. Some have been in psychotherapy and some have tried psychiatric medications. Few have been able to work with one care provider in both modalities simultaneously. I offer this possibility- the option that many research studies have shown to be the most effective! My treatment philosophy involves operating from a biopsychosocial framework to implement the most comprehensive treatment plan for each patient. I believe psychopharmacological interventions are an important part of a treatment plan, but are most efficacious in conjunction with other non-pharmacological interventions such as psychodynamic or cognitive behavioral psychotherapy as well as integrative medicine. My services include consultation, medication management and TMS. I work very closely with a number of therapists who I refer to if therapy is essential to your treatment.

Dr. Issac is an experienced addiction and general psychiatrist with eight years of experience. He has helped many overcome their mental health challenges.
