Dr. Sallie Jo Hadley holds the position of Staff Psychiatrist at Talkiatry She is board-certified in psychiatry and pediatrics and is board-eligible in child and adolescent psychiatry. She has been practicing for 22 years. Dr. Hadley is a graduate of the Mount Sinai School of Medicine’s triple-board program (psychiatry, pediatrics, and child and adolescent psychiatry). She completed post-doctoral research fellowships at Mount Sinai’s Seaver Center for Autism Research/Compulsive-Impulsive Anxiety Disorders and at Columbia University’s New York State Psychiatric Institute.

Dr. Goel holds the position of Staff Psychiatrist at Talkiatry. She has completed adult psychiatry training and is board eligible. She has been actively involved in mental health care in various capacities over the past 7 years. Dr. Goel's practice focuses on psychopharmacological interventions. Typically, she combines this with a strong emphasis on Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT). Dr. Goel also strongly believes that the best outcomes are achieved, when you treat a person and not just illness.

Dr. Monica Badillo is double board-certified in child and adolescent psychiatry and adult psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. She received additional training and certification in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy at the New York Medical College Psychoanalytic Institute. Dr. Badillo is bilingual and speaks Spanish and English to deliver quality care for patients and parents. She provides medication management while incorporating psychoeducation, supportive, and psychodynamic psychotherapies. Generally, she employs 30-minute follow-up sessions, and she may request a psychotherapist to participate in treatment.

Dr. Sonal Harneja is board-certified in adult psychiatry and specializes in medication management and various psychotherapies to treat anxiety and depressive disorders. Dr. Harneja completed her undergraduate studies at Stony Brook University and received her medical degree from the University at Buffalo School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences (now called Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences). Faizan Syed, MD is a board-certified psychiatrist. Dr. Sophie Weinberg is a double board-certified child, adolescent, and adult psychiatrist. She completed her General Psychiatry residency at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY, and her fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at Nassau University Medical Center in Long Island, NY. Dr. Weinberg’s approach is patient-centered, collaborative, and holistic, emphasizing the importance of a healthy diet, sleep, exercise, and other pleasurable activities to heal the body and mind.

Dr. Underriner is a board certified Staff Psychiatrist at Talkiatry. He completed his residency at New York University. His approach to treatment is holistic, taking into account the entire person, and emphasizes the importance of the therapeutic bond to help people reduce suffering and achieve their goals. He works with people struggling with ADHD, depression, anxiety, and obsessive-compulsive and related disorders. Dr. Veksman is a double board-certified adult psychiatrist with over 14 years of experience diagnosing and treating a wide range of psychiatric conditions. She approaches each patient as the unique individual, offering a non-judgmental space helping patients develop into their best selves. She focuses primarily on medication management to alleviate symptoms while partnering with patients on behavioral changes to address underlying issues. If additional therapy is needed, she may suggest adding a therapist into your care team to provide the best outcome.

Dr. Zeynep Altun is Board-Certified in Psychiatry and holds a Ph.D. in Neuroscience. Dr. Altun has extensive theoretical knowledge of the nervous system and its disorders and more than 10 years of experience in treating various mental illnesses including mood disorders, anxiety disorders, psychotic disorders, autism-spectrum and neuropsychiatric disorders, psychiatric emergencies and crisis management as well as cognitive behavioral and supportive psychotherapy.

Dr. Shapiro is a board-certified Staff Psychiatrist at Talkiatry who has been in practice for over 10 years. At the heart of Dr. Shapiro’s clinical approach is a strong emphasis on establishing trust and building a therapeutic relationship in order to help patients achieve their goals. Dr. Shapiro has held academic appointments at Hofstra Northwell School of Medicine and SUNY Downstate Medical Center and spent most of her professional career supervising and teaching medical students and psychiatry residents. Prior to Talkiatry, Dr Shapiro spent over 4 years as an Attending Outpatient Psychiatrist at Maimonides Medical Center.

Dr. Ernesto Gonzalez is a board certified adult psychiatrist. He completed his undergraduate training at Yale University and received his medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. He completed his residency training at the Cambridge Health Alliance/Harvard Medical School Adult Psychiatry Training Program. Dr. Gonzalez prefers a holistic approach that takes the time to know the whole patient, incorporating biological, psychological, social, and cultural perspectives in crafting a comprehensive, individualized, treatment plan.
