Marissa's strong desire and passion in providing services to individuals struggling with mental health problems was the driving force in her attainment of her psychiatric mental health NP license. Jieun Jung is a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner, with extensive experience in medication management and counseling. As part of her education, she studied at Ewha Womans University (Seoul, South Korea) and NYU, and she is fluent in English and Korean. She has worked with various populations, seeing patients at pediatric, adult, and geriatric psychiatric inpatient units, nursing homes, and community outpatient clinics.

I am a psychopharmacologist who specializes in the psychiatric treatment of adults with medication management. I attended New York University Medical School and NYU Psychiatry Residency. I have had the honor of being Unit Chief of the Inpatient Psychiatric Services at Elmhurst Hospital. I have also been the Associate Director and the Director of the Psychiatric Emergency Room at the Mount Sinai Hospital. I have been an Assistant Clinical Professor in Psychiatry at the Mount Sinai Hospital since 2000 where I teach residents and medical students. I am Board-Certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology since 1998.

Dr. Rao is a double-boarded general and child & adolescent psychiatrist. She was born and raised in NJ, attended Rutgers University as an undergraduate in the business school, and spent some time working in corporate America before pursuing a career in medicine. Dr. Rao attended New Jersey Medical School, opted to stay in NJ for psychiatric residency training at Rutgers University and then pursued fellowship training there in child and adolescent psychiatry. During training, she gained valuable experience in treating mood disorders, psychosis, trauma, addiction, forensics as well as multiple therapies.

Dr. Paolo Travers is a Psychiatrist in New York who has been practicing since 1996. Dr. Travers treats clients through evidence-based, current psychopharmacology. Outside of work, Dr. Travers enjoys international travel, dining out, watching movies, and Broadway shows.

Dr. Giovanna Franklin is a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner in New York who has been practicing since 2022. She gained her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree and Master of Science in Nursing degree from Columbia University. As a Brooklyn, New York, native, Dr. Giovanna is passionate about providing a non-judgmental space to create an inclusive, warm, and supportive environment for clients of diverse sociocultural backgrounds who are struggling with mental health.

Charrise McClellan is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner in New Jersey who has been practicing since 2022. She has an ASN from Medgar Evers College, a BSN from Utica College, and an PMHNP, MSN from CUNY Hunter College. Charrise is a friendly professional with exceptional knowledge of medications, medical terminology, and holistic coping mechanisms. She is well-versed in providing quick intervention, medication, and support to patients with acute, chronic, and drug-induced mental illness. Charrise has experience working with inpatients and in the community with underserved populations.

I continue to be excited about doing this work every day to help with the resolution of the symptoms my patients are experiencing. Luckily in Psychiatry as in other disciplines of Medicine, orderly collection of the information is vital to understanding the presenting problem. In many cases, there may be a somatic cause undergirding a behavioral presentation. In some cases, Iron Deficiency may be one cause of Restless Legs Syndrome as well as a positive family history. So, the completion of lab tests, when suggested, are critical to identifying and managing both physical and behavioral illness.

When a child is struggling, it is vitally important to uncover the correct cause. The process or journey should enable a child to take part and gain mastery over the issue. Equally important is identifying all those that should assist with the child an important part of the journey. Christine Garcia considers herself a provider and advocate, but mainly a facilitator. Identifying and negotiating all the settings your child is a part of, getting them to align are essential for a child to grow and flourish. This can only be achieved through open communication and active participation of everyone in this process.

Victor McGregor, PMHNP-BC, Ph.D., has an extensive career in both psychology and psychiatry. He earned his Ph.D. in Depth Psychology from Union Institute and University, and his PMHNP from Columbia University, Advanced Post Master Psychiatric Nurse Training Program, and his Masters in Psychiatric Nursing from the University Pennsylvania. Dr. McGregor is motivated by the diverse complexities of the human mind, and explores the underlying biological, psychological, social, developmental, and even metaphysical elements of holistic health.

Dr. Olivia Ding (she, her, hers) is a board-certified U.S. trained MD Psychiatrist. She grew up in New Jersey and spent her formative years in New Orleans, Louisiana where she obtained her Bachelor of Science in molecular biology, Master of Public Health, and Doctor of Medicine from Tulane University. She worked with Americorps in service of public schools before she moved to New York City to complete her psychiatry residency with Montefiore/Einstein. Dr. Ding believes in treating the individual holistically.

Nirali Patel is Psychiatrist in New York who has been practicing since 2011. While providing therapy and medication management, Nirali likes to ensure that there is also a focus on adequate nutrition, sleep, and exercise as these are all important factors in achieving wellness. Nirali has a particular interest in working with individuals around gender, racial, and cultural identity and how the experience of that identity impacts both mental and physical health. Outside of work, Nirali enjoys watching collegiate and professional sports and traveling.
