We have years of clinical experience with adult and general psychiatry. These include the San Juan and James A Haley Veterans Administration Hospitals, USF Associate Clinical Professor, St. Anthony's OP- PHP and Bay Care Life Management Health Care system. A psychiatric evaluation is a diagnostic tool employed by a psychiatrist. It may be used to diagnose problems with memory, thought processes, and behaviors. Diagnoses can include depression, schizophrenia, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and addiction. For adults, an ADHD diagnostic evaluation should be conducted by a licensed mental health professional or a physician.

I am a board certified psychiatric Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner (APRN) trained to diagnose and prescribe medication for patients with mental health issues. Prior to becoming a Psychiatric APRN I was an Emergency Department RN, working in local ERs for 30+years. I have worked for Bardmoor ER & Morton Plant psychiatric ER & inpatient pediatric psychiatric unit, St. Petersburg General ER, & Northside Hospital & Heart Institute ER. I also have experience working with Veterans and worked at Bay Pines VA ER & inpatient psychiatric unit for 5 yrs. I am currently a Sexual Assault Examiner with The Suncoast Center S.A.V.E team.

I am a nurse practitioner who is board certified in both family practice and psychiatric mental health. I have been in practice for 25 years as both a registered nurse and a nurse practitioner. I have extensive experience in psychiatric mental health, emergency medicine, and working with adolescents and the elderly. I am able to treat many mental health conditions such as anxiety, depression, substance abuse, OCD, ADHD, Bipolar disorder, dementia and Alzheimer's disease, traumatic brain injuries, and much more. I am a board-certified general psychiatrist who works with adolescents, adults and geriatric patients. I specialize in the evaluation and treatment of psychiatric conditions including depressive and mood disorders, anxiety and panic disorders, ADHD, OCD, PTSD, personality disorders, and bipolar and schizophrenia spectrum illnesses. I can provide psychopharmacological interventions, implement supportive and motivational psychotherapies, and provide comprehensive care with a patient-centered approach that is tailored to each patient's biological dispositions, as well as their psychological factors and social stressors.

I specialize in providing diagnostic mental health evaluations and medication management for patients with ADHD, depression, anxiety, and other behavioral disorders in adults, children, and adolescents. Through my previous work in internal medicine, I have worked with and provided compassionate care to chronically ill patients with complex conditions. Behavioral health problems often occur with other medical conditions, and I am especially sensitive to patients’ needs for mental health support when combined with other illnesses. I also oversee Ketamine assisted therapy and TMS treatments.
