Chris Karampahtsis, MD, MPH, is a Harvard trained, dually board-certified child & adolescent and adult psychiatrist. Currently an adjunct assistant professor of psychiatry at the NYU Long Island School of Medicine, he now brings his wealth of academic and clinical experience to seeing pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients at his private practice.

I work with adults ages 18 and older struggling with Anxiety, Panic disorder, ADHD, OCD, Depression, as well as, a several other psychiatric diagnoses. I started my career as a nurse in a state-run psychiatric emergency room where I treated patients along the entire spectrum of psychiatric illnesses; many of whom were in the most emotionally vulnerable time in their lives. Having experienced this severity of psychiatric illnesses everyday allowed me to develop a level of expertise to quickly recognize symptoms and develop an accurate diagnosis so we can initiate the best treatment plan for you from the very beginning.
