Hello, my name is Angel Smith and I own Dedicated Psychiatric Services in Kingsport TN. I am a board certified psychiatric nurse practitioner. I graduated from the University of Tennessee Knoxville in 2018. I have been a registered nurse since 2008. My mental health career first began in 2009, and I now have over 15 years of experience working with Psychiatric patients. I treat a wide range of psychiatric illnesses and age ranges from 6 years old and up. I am passionate about all mental health and treatment but I do enjoy specifically treating ADHD, perinatal mood disorders, and bipolar disorder.

We have a passion for supporting people who are seeking help managing high stress, life changes, anxiety, depression and trauma symptoms through outpatient therapy sessions and medication management. We currently have five medication management providers in our practice: Adam Ballintoy, APRN, Susan Barner, APRN, Jennifer Phillips, APRN, Dr. Lisa Pullen, APRN, and Samuel Wood, APRN. We also offer individual therapy, couples therapy, family therapy and group therapy sessions.

I have been a nurse practitioner for about 15 years. I was a pediatric nurse practitioner for 12 years. I have been a psychiatric nurse practitioner for the last 3 years. I see clients of all ages. I specialize in anxiety, depression, ADHD, and Bipolar Disorder. I enjoy partnering with my clients to develop an individualized treatment plan.

Whitley is a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) with experience managing patients with complex medical and psychiatric histories in multiple settings. Whitley works with all psychiatric diagnoses and age groups, but has a special interest in trauma-informed care. She is passionate about whole body wellness and committed to providing holistic mental health care to those in need, regardless of background.
