I focus on patients with clinical depression, bipolar depression, treatment-resistant mood and psychotic disorders. I am particularly interested in helping patients with neuromodulation and brain stimulation therapies, such as Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS).

I am a general adult psychiatrist with experience treating a variety of conditions and a special interest in OCD, student-athlete mental health, mood and anxiety disorders. I employ a holistic view of mental health that first requires being curious about the unique dynamics that might be affecting your well-being. While medications are often important, I also believe in addressing aspects of one’s lifestyle (sleep, exercise, diet) and examining interpersonal, occupational, among other stressors in a judgement-free, supportive environment.

Over the past 20 years working in mental healthcare, I have enjoyed the great opportunity to serve patients and their families. As a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP), I worked first at the San Francisco VA Medical Center, through their post-graduate residency program, and then for the past several years, I worked with medically underserved populations throughout New Mexico, first in person and then via telehealth.

I treat patients with major depressive disorder, bipolar disorder, and other mood disorders. My individualized patient plans provide evidence-based treatment options, including medication management. I am a Board-Certified Psychiatrist who has a collaborative and empathetic approach based on mindfulness principles. For me, telepsychiatry is the modern equivalent to a home visit, where a patient can have their video appointment in a familiar environment such as their home or office. Our practice, founded in 2007, provides innovative, patient-centric care and accepts most major insurance plans.

I specialize in the treatment of mood and anxiety disorders. I'm dedicating to helping patients understand their mental health conditions and finding the appropriate treatments, such as Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS), which I began to offer upon seeing its remarkable effect on those who had not responded to other therapies.

I have worked in multiple settings including emergency room, inpatient acute care, detoxification center, drug rehabilitation, outpatient, as well as at a correctional facility. Working in these various settings have exposed me to various psychiatric illnesses in different settings with varying severity. I focused on patient-centric treatment and have realized the importance of patients understanding the illness and making treatment choices based on their complete understanding. I firmly believe that patient’s active participation in the treatment and having good understanding of the illness facilitates good outcomes.

I am a Board-Certified in Psychiatry who treats a wide variety of patients including those with depression and adult ADHD. I am very interested in cutting-edge innovations such as esketamine nasal spray, and the rationally-based treatment Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS), to help patients.

I specialize in treating patients with anxiety or Major Depressive Disorder (MDD). I believe mental health is a vital aspect of any individual's well-being, and I work to have every patient with depression be as symptom-free as possible and enjoy life to the fullest. I find Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) to be an important treatment modality, as it allows me to work with my patients and tailor individual treatment modalities specific to their symptoms, and relieve their suffering from depression or another psychological disorder. I believe that TMS can be an alternative instrument or an addition to medications.

I am a dedicated board-certified Advanced Practice Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner with the ANCC. I graduated from Maryville University in St. Louis, and bring a wealth of knowledge to into each session. Treating adolescents and adults with psychiatric disorders is my specialty. I have experience providing comprehensive care in both outpatient and inpatient settings.

I am a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. I obtained my BA in Psychology at UC Berkeley in 2008. I have vast experience as a counselor in various settings for children and adolescents with severe emotional disturbance. I then obtained my Bachelors of Science in Nursing at Columbia University in 2012 and completed the Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Program at Columbia University in 2014.

Over the years working as a psychiatrist, I have developed extensive knowledge and expertise in managing challenging patients with variety of psychiatric diagnoses. I have focused my expertise on helping people struggling with complex psychiatric problems; patients who have not found relief from their symptoms despite multiple previous treatments. The approach I find the most effective for treatment resistant, seemingly hopeless problems in psychiatry is tailoring a unique treatment protocols for each patient.

I am a very experienced, Board Certified Adult psychiatrist who has worked in a broad range of treatment settings including public, private, and academic medical centers. My approach to treatment can best be understood by following the course of my education. I first studied biochemistry, where I learned to appreciate the importance of rigorous clinical research, ongoing education, and the power of medications. I then studied clinical psychology, where the focus was on understanding relationships, personalities, and cultures.

Dr. Donis is competent in performing thorough psychiatric assessments, differential diagnosis, prognostic assessments, genetic testing and interpretation and medication management. Other colleagues and patients have described her as knowledgeable and compassionate. Her areas of interest are PTSD, trauma associated disorders,mood disorders, and anxiety disorders.

Dr. Elswick is a Board Certified Adult Psychiatrist who emphasizes personality structure assays, functional biographical analysis, and relational behavior pat­terns, to tailor an individual treatment plan for medications and psychotherapy. He enjoys helping patients find their way through existential, spiritual, relational, and career problems. He specializes in treating adult ADHD and in reducing the burden of medications wherever possible. Dr. Elswick works closely with our psychologists, so he can provide a collaborative treatment plan to patients.

As a board-certified psychiatrist, I enjoy working collaboratively with adults, adolescents, and their families. I provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluation and expert use of individualized treatments, including psychotherapy, mindfulness-oriented therapy, medication management, and Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS).
