I am a Board Certified Psychiatrist in New York City. I have trained in Psychodynamic psychotherapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Family and Marital therapy, as well as Psychiatric Medication Management. I have always believed that brain health is the key to every form of well being and every individual regardless of their diagnosis or symptoms has the potential to be healthier. Born and raised in Cuba, Dr. Carmona received his Doctorate of Medicine (MD) in GI & Family Medicine at the Havana Medical School, and practiced as a physician from 2002 to 2009. In 2007, Dr. Carmona moved to the Republic of Namibia in Southern Africa, where for two years he provided critical medical services to roughly twenty-five thousand people living in rural villages and isolated areas.

I explain their symptoms, treatment options, risks/benefits/alternatives, and 'think outside the box'.
