South Boston Psychiatry was created with the understanding that mental health can not be “one-size-fits-all”. The telehealth model allows you to seek care when/how it is convenient for you. Board Certified Psychiatric Mental-Health Nurse Practitioner Annie Hollyer, PMHNP-BC, RN, MSN offers psychiatric evaluations, medication management, psychotherapy treatment, documentation and will be happy to work with you on referrals to the cutting edge medicine that’s changing mental health including Pharmacogenetic testing, Spravato, Suboxone, and Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS).

If you need help to gain or regain a good enough balance and a way to find happiness in your life, I have decades of valuable experience. I am known as a "psychiatrist's psychiatrist," a true healer, and one who is gifted at working with "challenging" situations" -- both individual and couples. Therapy is my specialty, and I evaluate and prescribe medication only for patients I treat in therapy when it is truly indicated. I particularly enjoy working with individuals who are more interested in developing their own capacities than in complaining about the inadequacy of what they find outside themselves in the world and in other people. I do not provide "medication management" if that is a primary reason for consultation. I am an adult, child and adolescent psychiatrist and Addiction Medicine specialist. I am currently full-time faculty at Boston Children’s Hospital and clinical instructor of psychiatry at Harvard Medical School. I work in the Adolescent Substance Use and Addiction Program in the Division of Addiction Medicine at Boston Children’s Hospital. I also serve on the Massachusetts Medical Society's Committee on Mental Health and Substance Use. In my private practice, I assess and treat patients of all ages. My office is located in Harvard Square, Cambridge, MA. At this time, I am accepting a limited number of clients.
