I focus on developing a collaborative relationship with my clients and I am deeply interested in getting to know their unique strengths, needs, and life experiences. I combine evidence based medicine with various therapeutic interventions, to empower my clients to balance their emotions, thoughts, and reactions. Subsequently, they develop healthier life patterns and pursue their personal, academic, and career goals. I completed my residency and fellowship at training programs affiliated with Harvard Medical School. Dual Board Certifications in Adult Psychiatry and in Child Psychiatry.

My patients often share with me that they look forward to their appointments with me as an opportunity to heal, to learn, and to grow in ways that were surprising to them. That is one of the most gratifying parts of my work. I am passionate about offering a holistic and inviting approach to emotional health treatment. I have significant training and experience to provide the most comprehensive care possible and deeply connect with patients. I attended medical school at Tufts University, and completed my adult residency program at Harvard Medical School (MGH/McLean). I am also certified through Postpartum Support International.

I am a Psychiatric and Geriatric Board Certified Nurse Practitioner who enjoys working closely with my patients to help them find ways to understand and improve their quality of life. Chiké Nwankwo, "Doctor Chiké," is a Harvard trained adult and child psychiatrist. He has worked on Beacon Street in private practice in Brookline since 2006. Dr. Chiké specializes in psychotherapy for both adults and children, but is also comfortable prescribing medications when it is necessary.

Every patient is different. I focus on improving self esteem, relationships, love life and work life. I do not use only one theory. Treatment draws from all sorts of different theoretical approaches. I prescribe medications when warranted by the clinical situation. Each patient and his or her improvement is very important to me. I am an adult, child and adolescent psychiatrist and Addiction Medicine specialist.
