The practice consists of multiple psychiatric prescribers that have extensive training in psychotherapy. While we believe that medications can be very helpful, we insist on providing more than medication for our patients.

Meet Leslie, a dedicated and compassionate certified Physician Assistant (PA) who specializes in the field of psychiatry, emphasizing her commitment to mental health care. Leslie's journey into the world of healthcare and psychiatry started at a young age when she felt drawn to the mental health field. This early passion led her to pursue a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from the University of Toledo while completing prerequisites for PA school.

It's hard to see a psychiatrist! I see people in distress due to a crisis,a loss, a trauma or a major life change. This distress manifests as depression,mood swings,anxiety, racing thoughts,paranoia,insomnia etc.People are complicated. I do a comprehensive evaluation listening for various psychological, emotional and biologic "clues". This is an interactive and iterative process. "Our" formulation guides the treatment. I practice both psychotherapy and psychopharmacology. I often consult for colleagues in psychology and social work regarding the use of medications.I then manage the medications as part of the treatment team.

Every patient is different. I focus on improving self esteem, relationships, love life and work life. I do not use only one theory. Treatment draws from all sorts of different theoretical approaches. I prescribe medications when warranted by the clinical situation. Each patient and his or her improvement is very important to me. Achieving a sense of happiness and self worth is critical to a fulfilling life. I work with people from age 15 and up.

Ayodeji E Okorafor is a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. He graduated with honors from Regis College in Weston, Massachusetts; he has had 0ver 10 years of mental health experience. The word Capilona connotes the idea of the community as family, and our practice is focused on the collaboration of care and communication with all the care providers working with our patients.

Stephanie L. Weingard graduated from Florida International University, achieving a post-masters certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. She has worked in inpatient, outpatient and intensive outpatient settings over the past 8 years. She is also a United States Air Force Reservist and works providing mental health care to both active duty and reserve members.

Erin Tanner, NP-C, completed her Master of Science in Nursing at MCPHS University. She is a fully licensed and accredited AANP nurse practitioner. She has dedicated over 20 years to health care, practicing as a registered nurse prior to becoming a nurse practitioner. Erin sees patient education, paired with preventative medicine, as the keys to health and wellness. When not seeing patients, Erin enjoys spending time with her family traveling and doing outdoor activities like running, hiking, and kayaking in and around beautiful New England.

Alice's journey in healthcare began at Saint Francis University, where she honed her skills and passion for patient care. As an NCCPA certified professional, she is dedicated to working collaboratively with her patients, providing them with the healing and support they need throughout life's various journeys.
