I have extensive experience in treating Depression, Anxiety, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Social Anxiety, ADHD and relational problems for more than 20 years. I have dual Board Certification in Adult and Geriatric Psychiatry. I am very careful in treating my patients with medications and my goal is to find the lowest effective dose and avoid multiple medication use when possible. I think therapy is as important as medications and I offer both, at times together, when necessary. For self pay patients cost for initial 60 min evaluation is $500, 15 min fallow up is $150, 30 min fallow up is $275 and 45min fallow up is $400.

I am an adult, child and adolescent psychiatrist and Addiction Medicine specialist. I am currently full-time faculty at Boston Children’s Hospital and clinical instructor of psychiatry at Harvard Medical School. I work in the Adolescent Substance Use and Addiction Program in the Division of Addiction Medicine at Boston Children’s Hospital. I also serve on the Massachusetts Medical Society's Committee on Mental Health and Substance Use. In my private practice, I assess and treat patients of all ages. Prior to becoming a PMHNP through MGH Institute of Health Professions, I earned a master’s degree in social work from Boston University. After recognizing the needs of the community and my patients, I decided to expand my scope of practice. I am a Board Certified psychiatrist and have been practicing for 41 years. I have expertise and extensive training in interpersonal and dynamic psychotherapy, and in psychopharmacology. I believe in working with patients to develop a treatment plan that is uniquely appropriate to them, and I devote the time necessary to provide the care patients need. And to provide maximum therapeutic benefit with minimum negative side effects, I take a conservative approach to medication, and get to know you well before prescribing.

I treat adults with mental health disorders, such as depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety, ADHD and PTSD. I also treat adults with substance use disorders and behavioral addictions. I believe in individualizing treatment based on each person's needs. I offer medication management visits, complemented with elements of Motivational Interviewing (MI), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and psychodymanic psychotherapy. I also offer psychotherapy visits without medication management, if someone is not in need of medications.
