I have a lifelong passion for learning and strive to learn and grow, keeping abreast of the latest evidence based treatment approaches so I can provide the best possible outcomes to my patients. I utilize a comprehensive care model in a non judgmental environment to help my patients live a more fulfilling life. I coordinate with therapists, PCP and other health care providers to address all aspects of patient care along the lines of bio psychosocial models. I am empathic, caring and introspective.

With a background in acute settings, including psychiatric hospitals and the emergency department, Lauren has devoted numerous years as a nurse and nurse practitioner to supporting individuals during their most challenging moments. I also offer ADHD testing and treatment. I do not provide psychotherapy. I treat ages 18 and above.

Victoria Counseling Services is an outpatient Adult Psychiatry, established in 2015 following the sudden death of a beloved younger sister, Victoria, who suffered from severe depression and PTSD for most of her adult years. As a patient, expect to be an active participant in your treatment plan.

Currently we have availability on a weekly basis starting in May 2024. Jan Nelson is a psychiatric nurse practitioner with board certification in psychiatry. With over 10 years working in the psychiatry field, she has experience with all levels of mental health including treating anxiety disorders, depression, mood disorders, psychotic disorders, attention deficit, sleep disorders, OCD, trauma, and others.
