I am a Harvard-trained, double board-certified, child, adolescent, and adult psychiatrist, providing a high level of expertise and knowledge to my patients. As part of my commitment to delivering comprehensive and specialized care, I have collaborated with two fellow academic psychiatrists to establish a group private practice, ReThink Minds, LLC, which offers a broad spectrum of services to our patients. I believe that every patient is unique and therefore requires a personalized approach to their care. My goal is to provide personalized care that addresses not just symptoms, but also unique circumstances and experiences.

I am a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with knowledge in working with clients of all ages and backgrounds including children, adolescents, adults, and older adults. I have experience in psychiatric treatment and management of Depression, Anxiety, Bipolar disorders, ADHD and substance abuse. I use a person-centered, individualized approach to treatment and rely on evidence-based practices that recommend the combination of medication management and a commitment to psychotherapy to improve treatment outcomes.

I am a board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner clinically educated in treating patients with mental health diagnoses across the lifespan. I obtained my master's degree in Advanced Practice Psychiatric Nursing from Northeastern University in Boston, MA. Prior to becoming an advanced practice nurse I was the Nursing Director at the Ivy Street School in Brookline- a residential and day school specializing in treatment for adolescents aged 12-22 struggling with chronic mental health issues, behavioral dysregulation, Autism, ADHD, intellectual disabilities and traumatic brain injuries.

Throughout my many years of experience both as a registered nurse and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, I have learnt learned to treat my patients with respect and compassion, knowing that their current problems does not define them. My competence and excellence of care stems from working with diverse patients for over 17 years in healthcare. This experience with different populations has given me confidence to face every situation with an inquisitive and open mind as I deliver evidence based and patient specific care.

If you need help to gain or regain a good enough balance and a way to find happiness in your life, I have decades of valuable experience. I am known as a "psychiatrist's psychiatrist," a true healer, and one who is gifted at working with "challenging" situations" -- both individual and couples. Therapy is my specialty, and I evaluate and prescribe medication only for patients I treat in therapy when it is truly indicated. I particularly enjoy working with individuals who are more interested in developing their own capacities than in complaining about the inadequacy of what they find outside themselves in the world and in other people. I do not provide "medication management" if that is a primary reason for consultation. I really enjoy working with people who are struggling with their mental health and know it's time to get help. Perhaps it is their first time reaching out or maybe their current medication and therapy regimen isn't working at well as it could be. I love to work with patients collaboratively, so that we can make decisions together and work as a team. I am particularly skilled at working with older adolescents and young adults in their 20s and early 30s as they navigate their way into healthy adulthood.

I have been working in the mental health field in various roles since 1998 from working with children and adolescents as a behavioral interventionist and health care coordinator in residential programs for youth with complex diagnoses and histories of trauma, and with adults inpatient at a state hospital. I am a child, adolescent and adult psychiatrist who is double board certified in Adult and Child/Adolescent Psychiatry. I have a lot of research and clinical work in sleep medicine and can utilize cognitive behavioral therapy to help with your sleep difficulties.
