My name is Lauren Wenzl, I am a certified Physician Assistant specializing in Psychiatric-Mental Health. In 2016 I achieved a Masters Degree in Physician Assistance from Keiser University and now have 7 years practice experience. I have come to understand that all of us need someone to listen to our concerns. Someone who listens without judging, offers empathy, compassion, and lends an ear to our struggles can make a significant impact in our mental health. My goal is to provide that relief to my patients through talk, recommendations, medications, or therapeutic care guidance.

As a Yale trained Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, with a Master's Degree in Psychology, and extensive training in both psychiatry and psychology, I will provide holistic, comprehensive, person-centered care. My commitment to you, is to not only treat the most overt symptoms currently showing up, but explore all contributing factors, and root causes, to develop a deeper understanding of how to best meet your goals. From this full-scope of awareness, and global insight, we will collaboratively work to create an integrative care plan that brings meaningful, sustainable, changes that improve your quality of life, and overall wellbeing.

I believe mental health is health care. With this ideal in mind, throughout my career I have taken pride in normalizing and destigmatizing mental health by educating and supporting the needs of patients and their families on their journeys of health and wellness. I want to make sure I promote well-being in a way that is understandable from kids, to young adults, and to their care givers. Although the bulk of my practice is in medication management, I believe that combining therapy and medication management usually yields the best results with treatment goals.
