Dr. Barfield offers medication management and supportive therapy through Create Mental Wellness, LLC. Reaching out for mental wellness is not always easy, but we aim to make the process as smooth and supportive as possible. We take a culturally aware and individualized approach to address a variety of mental health concerns, including addiction, depression, anxiety, ADHD, and bipolar disorder. We will help you develop a treatment plan considering the best modalities for you. I see patients from school-aged to 64, specializing in people struggling with focus, inattention, depressive thoughts, anxiety, and mood irregularities. After many years and extensive experience as a family nurse practitioner working in multiple settings including outpatient, school-based health, education, and urgent care, she obtained an additional degree to become a PMHNP and focus on her passion for mental health. Her style is individualized to the person, evidence-based, trauma-informed and holistic. She sees patients across the lifespan, including children and adolescents. Additionally, she has completed training for MAT (medication assisted therapy for opioid use disorders).
