We are trained in complicated psychotropic medication management, multiple therapy modalities, and interventional techniques like Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) and Ketamine Therapy. Our goal is to offer the most world class psychiatric care in hopes of reducing suffering and helping individuals become the most optimal versions of their self.

I went to medical school at University of Nebraska College of Medicine and Residency at Creighton University. I have done neuropsychiatric research, and I have been published. I have also done quite a bit of researching medication. I trained to do therapy by national leaders including two psychoanalysts. I have worked in academics, private practice, inpatient, outpatient, as staff physician, as Medical Director, and even with the prisons in Georgia. My varied background enables me to be a Psychiatrist who provides premier medication management as well as excellent psychotherapy.

ACCEPTING NEW PATIENTS - We help patients establish a professional relationship with a dedicated physician who knows their medical history and medication regimen. This provides the patient with continuity of care and on-demand access to a doctor through telemedicine or in-person appointments. We manage a wide spectrum of illnesses, including anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder, OCD, ADHD and insomnia. Patients with these conditions have the best chance of improvement when they have regular appointments with the same physician who works with the patient in a professional setting.

Welcome! I am Dr. Kristopher Kast, a psychiatrist in Nashville, Tennessee. My practice is focused on dynamic therapy, also called psychodynamic or psychoanalytic psychotherapy. This is an evidence-based treatment for a number of problems - including depression, anxiety, and difficulties with relationships or self-esteem regulation - and it is well-suited to understanding and treating complexity. Dynamic therapy is open-ended and may include more frequent sessions. We will work together on a plan that best fits you.
