Lisa D’Amura is a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. She earned both her Bachelors (2003) and Masters (2017) Degrees of Nursing from The University of Texas at Austin. She has experience working with a wide variety of patients in both in-patient and out-patient mental health. Before her move to psychiatric nursing Lisa was a Registered Nurse, Lactation Consultant and volunteer with a grassroots mental health organization-PSI.

As a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, I provide compassionate, up-to-date mental health care to my clients. This can range from prescribing medication, providing information about how to improve sleep or nutrition, or simply helping clients to understand how mental health issues happen, how they can affect our lives, and what options for treatment exist. Trauma, anxiety and depression (unipolar or bipolar) and hormonal issues (PMDD, menopause) are areas of specialty for me, as I have had significant experience treating these issues. Dr. Satish D. Narayan is a physician with 18 years of experience providing psychiatric services. He currently holds a position as the Medical Director of the Partial Hospitalization Program at Carrollton Springs and has been in private practice since 2008. He received his medical degree from Bangalore Medical College in 1990. He completed his Residency in Psychiatry at Temple University Hospital in 1998 and became certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in 2000. He has a professional membership with the Texas Medical Association.

In addition to providing standard treatment of mental illnesses with medication and psychotherapy, I like to help my patients become artists of their own lives. Our minds are greater than our mental illness, and we are greater than our minds. At the same time, we have to be honest about the negative effects of a mental illness in our lives, and not delay remedies which can contain, manage, and even remove the dysfunction.
