A child and adolescent psychiatrist, conducts full psychiatric evaluations with children, adolescents, and adults. Experienced in the treatment of a variety of clinical concerns, including Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), intellectual disabilities, Autism spectrum disorders, mood disorders, anxiety, and psychosis. After adult psychiatry training in Virginia Commonwealth University, Dr. Altahir completed his fellowship studies at Penn state University in 2005.

Dr. Iskandar is a diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. He is a fellow of the American Psychiatric Association. He is also a member of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, the American Psychiatric Association, the American Osteopathic Association, and the Psychiatric Society of Virginia.
