As a psychiatrist, these are the questions that have shaped my clinical practice for over 25 years.

Dr. Cross is a UPenn trained adult psychiatrist, with a private practice located in Philadelphia, and is available to help you on your mental health journey. She has an exceptional training background, with additional experience working with older adults and medically complex individuals. She takes a holistic mind-body approach to treatment, and works to build a safe space for exploration and healing.

People seek treatment for many reasons. Sometimes the source of pain is clear, as in a traumatic event or a painful loss. Just as often, there may be symptoms that are harder to pinpoint and understand. My approach is psychodynamic: I believe that our past relationships and attachments impact how we live life in the present.

Often, emotional pain results from unknown or unrecognized beliefs, conflicts, and patterns. I was born and raised in New Jersey, and moved to Erie, PA for medical school, internship, residency, and fellowship. I am trained in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, and have also certified in ECT. I received my medical degree from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine (LECOM) and completed residency and fellowship with Millcreek Community Hospital. During my time working as a child and adolescent psychiatrist in Erie, PA, I was given an incredible opportunity to serve a community in need.

I view individuals as a “whole” with the understanding that our biology, social context, spirituality and community make us who we are. I frequently integrate these issues along with nutrition, exercise and lifestyle to support mental health. Stephanie is a graduate of Walden University, specializing in Psychiatric Mental Health. Stephanie has been treating the Psychiatric population since 2005 and has worked with adults and children throughout these years. Stephanie is very passionate about providing quality, compassionate care across the lifespan.

Michelle Antanovich is a board-certified mental health nurse practitioner. Michelle understands that many of her patients are facing anxiety, depression, attention issues, and mood changes throughout their lives. She believes that understanding how to handle these fluctuations is key for healthy coping and living life to the fullest. In-session, Michelle is friendly, patient, and understanding.

Ideally my patient is as invested in their care as I am. They could have a variety of diagnoses but the thing they have in common is they are willing to give the process time, are open to new ideas, and know there is no magic pill to fix all their problems. My patients want to get to the best version of themselves and are willing to try therapy as well as medications to help them reach that goal. My patient wants an empathetic, listening provider who can guide their care based on the evidence, but tailored to their individual needs.
