Linda Floyd is a board-certified mental health nurse practitioner. Since beginning to work with patients in 2014, Linda has engaged with patients in a variety of treatment settings. She understands the distress and impaired functioning her patients are experiencing. Her goal is to engage with patients to reduce their distress, improve functioning, and help them reach their potential. Based in Fort Lauderdale (South Florida), Dr. Almeida-Scaff is board certified in General Psychiatry and in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. She currently sees patients (ages 6 to 50) in person or through telemedicine in Florida. She practiced in Atlanta, Georgia for many years prior to relocating to Florida and is able to provide care for patients in Georgia through telemedicine as well. Her areas of focus include treating adults, children and adolescents with attention deficit hyperactivity disorders (ADHD), depression and anxiety disorders. I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing and Psychology from The University of Rhode Island in 2010, then went on to get my Master’s in Nursing from Drexel University, graduating as a Mental Health Nurse Practitioner in 2018. I have worked in variety of inpatient and outpatient settings, as well as telemedicine. For 4 years, I have care for and provided psychotropic medication management to children, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients in a variety of settings including hospital, outpatient, nursing home and state psychiatric facilities.

I am a board certified adult and forensic psychiatrist who specializes in the treatment of mood and anxiety disorders, professionals in crisis, and the issues of intimacy and sexual dysfunction.
