Our practice was founded by Elizabeth Durovich, MSN, RN, PMHNP-BC, CEN, a board-certified advanced practice nurse in psychiatry and mental health. Our office treats a range of mental health issues and psychiatric disorders in the adult population. We believe that everyone needs a mental health provider and currently offers comprehensive services and values all patient’s input on determining a plan of care and treatment options. We welcome all patients to seek care to address their mental health needs.

I am a psychiatrist with expertise in both medication management and psychotherapy. I have been involved with medical student and resident education in these areas as a faculty member at Weill Cornell Medical College, Columbia University Medical Center, and Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.

I am a Board Certified Adult Psychiatrist specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of depression, anxiety, ADHD/ADD, OCD, sleep disorders, and a number of other psychiatric conditions. I offer a unique perspective to patient care and provide a holistic approach, emphasizing a connection between the mind and body. Specifically, I provide treatment options including medication management and/or psychotherapeutic approaches, such as cognitive behavioral therapy, supportive therapy, mindfulness, and motivational interviewing. My goal is to help people gain control over their lives and to optimize their potential in a variety of areas, including work performance, interpersonal relationships, sleep hygiene, and overall health.

I am a board-certified psychiatrist, teacher, and published author. I offer treatments designed for adults and older adults, and I have a dedicated focus on reproductive psychiatry. I have trained between Italy and the United States, where I conducted research at Massachusetts General Hospital/Harvard Medical School and ultimately completed my training at the University of Southern California. In 2020, I became a Clinical Instructor at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. I perfected my training and gained a second board certification in Consultation and Liaison Psychiatry, which focuses on complex clinical scenarios.

My professional background is Child, Adolescent and Adult Psychiatry. I am also board certified in Forensic Psychiatry. I am currently on faculty at NYU School of Medicine and I have been an attending psychiatrist at the NYU Medical Center, where I worked for three years as the Director of the Young Adult Unit. I specialize in treating children, teens and adults. I have extensive experience in the evaluation and treatment of many areas of concern including but not limited to anxiety, OCD, depression, attentional disorders, acting out behaviors as well as issues concerning relationships, career and identity.

It is a privilege to do what I do on a daily basis; working with the "body/mind connection". I love working with people and going through their life stages together; adolescents, college students, young adults and then adults. I believe that the modality of treatment should be suited to the patient's needs. I have trained through different schools and continue to do so. Once we work together on identifying their issues, we work on them with a "tailored treatment", that said; individual psychotherapy, mindfulness meditation, complementary treatment with vitamins, exercises and if needed medication.

Mental health and its treatment are stigmatized, rendering the initiation of treatment intimidating for many. That is why I provide a professional and empathetic space for consultation and treatment; everyone should be comfortable seeking the care they feel they need. I also utilize telepsychiatry when appropriate to increase access to care. I am dual board certified in adult general psychiatry and addiction. I have also specialized in clinical training in sex therapy and I am affiliated with NYU's Program in Human Sexuality. I offer both treatment for patients and supervision for other mental health professionals.

I am trained and experienced in treating those experiencing with a range of conditions, including depression, anxiety, ADHD, insomnia, bipolar disorder and psychotic disorders. I am particularly passionate about working with those navigating life transitions such as school graduations, marriage and having children. I focus on helping patients identify resilient qualities within themselves that can help live a more fulfilling life.

Here at the Venn Center, we offer patients a unique therapeutic experience. I conduct psychiatric evaluations and assessments, as well as provide both individual and group psychotherapy to clients of all ages. I also offer pharmacotherapy and medication management when appropriate. That being said, 25% of my patients are not on any medication since I employ non-medicinal interventions that help remediate psychiatric symptoms whenever possible. Offering these complementary services allows the clients I work with to feel empowered in their desire for change toward a healthier way of being.

He is skilled in psychopharmacology and psychotherapy across the lifespan. Mr. Malecki completed his Bachelor of Science in Psychology as well as his advanced practice nursing degree at Stony Brook University. He also received his Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing at SUNY Downstate Medical Center and has a Master of Arts in Mental Health Counseling from Adelphi University. He is currently working at Modern Integrative Psychiatry in NYC.

I am a psychiatric nurse practitioner with nearly 20 years of experience in general and addiction psychiatry. Most of my clinical expertise was developed in New York City and San Francisco treating children, adolescents, and adults with an extremely wide array of problems. I also served as the Director of the New York University Nurse Practitioner program. Authenticity and non-judgment drive my practice. I believe that people change at different paces and that is part of being human. Ideally, we change from the inside out.

As a licensed medical doctor and practicing psychiatrist, I specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of mental conditions. As an osteopathic, physician, my philosophy incorporates a complete integration of the mind and the body.
