As a provider, my goal is to facilitate your connection to your own strength, resilience, wisdom, and joy through holding space for the safe exploration of your inner world. I believe that medication is a valuable tool when used consciously and consensually, but is rarely the only support we need. My approach to care is sex-positive, identity-affirmative, and growth-centered, emerging from a position of non-judgement, gentleness, and curiosity. I have a particular commitment to trans, nonbinary, and gender nonconforming people, as well as to those navigating the harms of racism, ableism, heterosexism, and fat-phobia.

I am a board-certified Pediatric and Adult Psychiatrist. Harvard, Mount Sinai, and Yale-trained, I have over twenty years of experience in psychopharmacology and psychotherapy working with complex cases in a variety of clinical settings. I have a holistic and integrative approach to my practice using art, positive psychiatry and mindfulness approaches. I use strength-based approaches to help you become more resilient and optimistic. I’m an artist (Parson’s grad) with a special interest in creativity and the arts as a healing modality. I work with professionals with burnout, depression, anxiety, and stress-related disorders.

Hi! I’m a New York City-based double-board certified psychiatrist working with adults, adolescents, and children. My work centers around psychotherapy; including developmentally appropriate psychodynamic, CBT, and play therapies. In addition, my approach to psychiatric medications is to meet individuals and families where they are at. I work with people who want to seek deeper growth and meaning without numbing what makes them human. As for my background – I trained at BU and Mount Sinai, and have worked at both The New School and as lead psychiatrist at the Columbia University Medical Center counseling center.

I treat people with difficulties in relationships, work, school, and social settings. I have an eclectic style in psychotherapy, with a psychodynamic focus, as well as administer medication when necessary. I will incorporate techniques to help with changing habits, lifestyle, and to encourage healthier coping skills. I also specialize in treating people with trauma in their background which is also helpful during this stressful time of forced isolation and collective fear.

Mark is a Board-Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner and Adult Health Nurse Practitioner. He provides comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and psychotherapy to all individuals. He has a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a master’s degree in Nursing from The Ohio State University. He has specialized training in managing mental health for clients living with HIV, and substance use problems. He strives to provide an anti-racist, LGBTQ affirming, non-judgmental, open, honest environment for all clients to express openly and create the change you seek.

Our practice was founded by Elizabeth Durovich, MSN, RN, PMHNP-BC, CEN, a board-certified advanced practice nurse in psychiatry and mental health. Our office treats a range of mental health issues and psychiatric disorders in the adult population. We believe that everyone needs a mental health provider and currently offers comprehensive services and values all patient’s input on determining a plan of care and treatment options. We welcome all patients to seek care to address their mental health needs.

I was born and raised in Athens, Greece and attended medical school in Padua, Italy. I completed my psychiatric residency at Mount Sinai West (formerly known as St. Luke's Roosevelt) hospital in New York. I completed my sex therapy training at the University of Michigan. I have extensive experience working with the LGBTQIA+ population. I am able to conduct evaluations and write letters for gender marker changes, hormone therapy, and gender affirming surgery procedures. Furthermore I am working with non-monogamy/polyamory, BDSM/Kink, relationship issues, sex therapy, sex work and trauma issues.

I am a psychiatrist with expertise in both medication management and psychotherapy. I have been involved with medical student and resident education in these areas as a faculty member at Weill Cornell Medical College, Columbia University Medical Center, and Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.

I am a board certified Nurse Practitioner of Psychiatry with a Doctoral Degree from New York University. My clinical experience includes working with children, adolescents, adults, and older adults in both the inpatient and outpatient settings. I currently provide outpatient medication management and psychotherapy to my clients. In addition to my clinical work, I am a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Program at NYU.

Dr. Kenia is a board certified and licensed Psychiatrist and Psychoanalyst who believes in a holistic approach. She takes time to get to know each person so she can provide thoughtful and individualized treatment. She is trained in both medication management and talk therapy to treat a variety of adult disorders. As former Medical Director of the Center for Intensive Treatment of Personality Disorders [CITPD at Mount Sinai West] she has the unique background and experience required to help those with a diagnosis of personality disorder and/or histories of trauma.

I am a Board Certified Adult Psychiatrist specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of depression, anxiety, ADHD/ADD, OCD, sleep disorders, and a number of other psychiatric conditions. I offer a unique perspective to patient care and provide a holistic approach, emphasizing a connection between the mind and body. Specifically, I provide treatment options including medication management and/or psychotherapeutic approaches, such as cognitive behavioral therapy, supportive therapy, mindfulness, and motivational interviewing. My goal is to help people gain control over their lives and to optimize their potential in a variety of areas, including work performance, interpersonal relationships, sleep hygiene, and overall health.

Mental health and its treatment are stigmatized, rendering the initiation of treatment intimidating for many. That is why I provide a professional and empathetic space for consultation and treatment; everyone should be comfortable seeking the care they feel they need. I also utilize telepsychiatry when appropriate to increase access to care. I am dual board certified in adult general psychiatry and addiction. I have also specialized in clinical training in sex therapy and I am affiliated with NYU's Program in Human Sexuality. I offer both treatment for patients and supervision for other mental health professionals.

As a board-certified psychiatrist, I am adept at treating mental health concerns ranging from mood and anxiety disorders to interpersonal difficulties and life challenges. Knowing that these problems can affect anyone and cause significant impairment in one's life, I strive to provide compassionate and comprehensive care with the goal of restoring my patients to the state of mind and level of functioning they expect. My approach is an integrative one, wherein I assess one's psychological, emotional, medical and environmental contributors to problems and address these in treatment using both psychotherapy and medication management.

I am an NYU trained and nationally certified Nurse Practitioner in Psychiatry. I offer Person-centered, holistic care while working collaboratively with clients. My theoretical leaning is Rogerian, which means that at each session you will experience unconditional positive regard, empathy and presence. I offer combined treatment, which means I see patients for medication management and psychotherapy. My approach is informed by my work as a public interest attorney and witnessing the ways in which many aspects of life (housing, work, economic security, racial identity, gender identity, and sexuality) impact mental health. I take a strength-based approach that is client-centered and work with clients to determine what tools work best for them at the time. Healing is not always linear. I hope to create a space that feels supportive no matter where a person is in their journey.

I completed my psychiatric nurse practitioner training at NYU with a clinical focus in child/adolescent psychiatry. Since then I have worked extensively with adolescents coming out of intensive care programs for psychosis and children/adolescents with neurodiversity. I am also an adjunct faculty at NYU School of Nursing teaching inpatient psychiatric clinicals. I provide various psychiatric assessment and treatment, including psychiatric evaluation, medication management, individual therapy, school collorations and genetic testing. A typical initial evaluation is 90 minutes and the follow-ups are 30 minutes.
