Dr. Kenia is a board certified and licensed Psychiatrist and Psychoanalyst who believes in a holistic approach. She takes time to get to know each person so she can provide thoughtful and individualized treatment. She is trained in both medication management and talk therapy to treat a variety of adult disorders. As former Medical Director of the Center for Intensive Treatment of Personality Disorders [CITPD at Mount Sinai West] she has the unique background and experience required to help those with a diagnosis of personality disorder and/or histories of trauma.

I am a board certified Nurse Practitioner of Psychiatry with a Doctoral Degree from New York University. My clinical experience includes working with children, adolescents, adults, and older adults in both the inpatient and outpatient settings. I currently provide outpatient medication management and psychotherapy to my clients. In addition to my clinical work, I am a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Program at NYU.

I completed my psychiatric nurse practitioner training at NYU with a clinical focus in child/adolescent psychiatry. Since then I have worked extensively with adolescents coming out of intensive care programs for psychosis and children/adolescents with neurodiversity. I am also an adjunct faculty at NYU School of Nursing teaching inpatient psychiatric clinicals. I provide various psychiatric assessment and treatment, including psychiatric evaluation, medication management, individual therapy, school collorations and genetic testing. A typical initial evaluation is 90 minutes and the follow-ups are 30 minutes.

Ms. Ottah is a Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner who graduated from Adelphi University with a Master’s in Nursing. With over 10 years of experience as a registered nurse, she has primarily worked in the challenging environment of correctional health, providing care to patients with severe mental health problems, including schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and personality disorders. Her journey reflects her steadfast commitment to making a positive impact on the lives of her future patients.

Our practice was founded by Elizabeth Durovich, MSN, RN, PMHNP-BC, CEN, a board-certified advanced practice nurse in psychiatry and mental health. Our office treats a range of mental health issues and psychiatric disorders in the adult population. We believe that everyone needs a mental health provider and currently offers comprehensive services and values all patient’s input on determining a plan of care and treatment options. Here at the Venn Center, we offer patients a unique therapeutic experience. I conduct psychiatric evaluations and assessments, as well as provide both individual and group psychotherapy to clients of all ages. I also offer pharmacotherapy and medication management when appropriate. That being said, 25% of my patients are not on any medication since I employ non-medicinal interventions that help remediate psychiatric symptoms whenever possible. Offering these complementary services allows the clients I work with to feel empowered in their desire for change toward a healthier way of being.

My passion for psychiatry began in medical school, where I realized my calling was to help patients lead happier and more productive lives.
